If you want to bulk up then protein is the key factor that you need. It takes times and A LOT of hard work. But the hard work is only have the struggle. The other half is eating right.
You need lots of meats such as chicken and red meat. They contain lots of protein. Eggs are good to and the BEST thing you can have that will give you the protein you want is Cottage Cheese. Cottage Cheese is very good for building up.
And if you say eating more isnt working then eat loads more. Try eat as much as you possibly can, force it down your throat, your body will eventually get used to eating more if you do it all the time.

160 pounds im geussing? 160 converted into kilograms= 72.6 Kg
Dude... you weigh like 48 Kg and your lifting 72.6 Kg.... are you on roids???! (lol joking)
Its quite natural for people to be able to lift a fair amount above their own weight.
Usually people with smaller bodies cant lift as much because of their mass.
Golden rule is the more mass you have the more you can lift.

Seriously you shouldn't lift that heavy.
A big mistake people make is that they think big weights = big muscles= WRONG!!!!!!!!

You actually get more out of lifting lighter weights. Bigger weights put to much strain on your muscle. When you lift big weights your compressing your muscle together and it doesnt give any room to move around and grow cause their so tense and compressed.
In saying that dont lift weights that are to light.

Use weights according to sets. If you can lift 3 sets of 12 with very short breaks and feel the pain then thats good.
If you need to add another set in to make 4.
Dont even think about lifting 160 pounds(72.6 Kg) until your bigger in size.
Smaller and repetitious is A LOT better.
DON'T USE BIG WEIGHTS!

Also DO NOT go 6 or 7 days a weak. Thats like torturing your body. You aren't giving it any time to rest and recover and grow. By going constantly you actually KILLING muscle instead of building it. At the very most go every second day of the weak.
Resting is MORE important then training. You gain most of your muscle while sleeping! Not while working out!
Also DON'T work out to much!
DO NOT exceed an hour in the gym. Really all you need is 30- 40 minutes depending on how tired you are. Going a little each day is A LOT more effective then going intense for over an hour every day.

Trust me man.
Listen to what I've said and you should be fine.
Remember PROTEIN and REST are more important than WORKING OUT!

Hope this helps man and Good Luck

I said 160 is my max, I never said 160 is what I lift everyday are you crazy, a max is the amount of weight you can lift only one rep my workouts are less weight. Also the more I'm able to max chances are I'm gaining weight anyways and my point is not to try and have big muscles my point is to get toned and in shape which is different

I'd get a job if it was as easy as saying getting a job, I've tried and am trying still to get a job seems like everywhere I look everything is whol wheat in this house, fat free, not going to get much weight from that the milk is 2 percent fat reduced or whatever I need whole milk it's the one I like best anyways.

My eating habits are basically cereal with milk every morning

I'm going to start adding in lunch that's a mistake of me not eating lunch every day

Im going to start eating a butter sandwich a little before workout, I'd eat peanut butter but I don't like peanut butter

Then there's dinner

And then there's ice cream where I always eat like four or five scoops

(this I might have to stop otherwise I'm going to keep getting yelled and that is eating something before going to bed)

I can't wait to get a job get my own food and then eat whatever the heck I want

Nope, you have to work here to be paid but finding jobs now is a big pain in the *****, really hard. Heck there are people with college degrees still unable to find jobs and I haven't even started college yet which I plan to as soon as I can

Also as for gaining weight and lifting more I want to get there naturally, I don't like extra substances to take, I know technically Protein shakes isnt really something big in terms of substances but I'd still rather get there naturally by eating and lifting

Which muscle are we talking about here? Anyway, that's hardly true.

Repetition is good, but intense strength training is good for bulk. (and causing hiatal hernias...) I have major acid reflux and heartburn at random periods regardless of what I eat. Lifting can really hurt your body if you're not careful. My back actually looks like you'd think I was bent over like Jesus and whipped about seventy times. Sometimes my guts hurt too.

Clearly your brother is wrong. There is little to no correlation between sexual activity and arm size. Other than holding yourself up, in which case you could achieve without the sex.

He must do press ups and sit ups and stuff then. Which is odd because he's had a very bad back for several months. I'm just too lazy to regularly excercise. Plus I can never seem to do press ups right which doesn't help.

Yeah i know what max weight is dude i workout to.
If you want to get toned up good heavy weights wont help you they just wear you out faster and you get less out of your workout. Trust me i know from personal experience.
When i started working out it seemed like i had to sweat blood everytime i did. Eventually i got used to it and A LOT more toned up. Now there's still a struggle but you really have to give it your all when you workout.
To the point where you just want to give up completely.
Those last few extremely hard lifts of the end of your set are the ones that really get your muscle growing.

Benching is good and targets the whole upper body in a pinch except for abs.
Doing Tricep and bicep sets will be more effective in getting bigger toned arms.
But Bench Press is important cause it builds up your chest and back which is linked to your arms.

I understand you dont want big muscles but you still have to work pretty darn hard to get toned up.

As others have said I do not believe there is a correlation and IF even if there was any correlation I wouldn't go and have sex just to get bigger muscles, that's not the type of person I am.

And Hybrid dude I know all these things I took weight lifting class, I didn't get to maxing 160 just for lifting really heavy everytime, actually a lot of the times I go with the ones where I do three sets or five sets of ten reps, and then do more workout, bench press isn't the only thing I do. Me maxing 160 is good. I mean I did go from a 75 max to a 160 max which means I'm doing my workout right otherwise my max wouldn't have gone up so much. And even when I look in the mirror I can see my body is waaaay more toned now than it was in high school THE one thing that needs a lot more toning are the abs, and thats a different work out. I'm going to start doing a lot more abs workout, and even so my abs are acutally not bad, I can see six pack already but I know I can get more toned, my arms are in a good toned shape, my chest is pretty good too, so it's working I am getting more toned and will get more toned. I have a good workout partner he has great knowledge on working out.

Its not like Im going to tell myself You cannot max 160 no thats fine, it makes me feel good I can lift that much, doesnt mean I'm going to work out as least as I can, it just something that builds my confidence. Which is why I wnt to hit a target of 180 as my max

Yeah i know it feels good that you can.
I'm not saying to go lift really light weights. I'm saying you have to find the weights that are just right for you.
So that in your last sets your struggling.

As for abs... My girlfriend always says how hot and sexy my abs are. She loves them.
While working out abs your usually working out more parts of your body, generally arms and sometimes legs.
Abs are the kind of muscle that you cant be to heavy on, they are a smaller muscle.
They'll grow pretty fast if you dont work em out to much.
You dont really have to spend that much on abs. 15- 20 minutes a day should be fine. And thats if you really want to get abs of steel.
