Why didn't Trunks have a tail? The same goes for Goten.

Imagine how epic it would've been to see Gotenks go Oozaru in his fight against Buu!

Also it was stated somewhere that it took a being with roughly a power level of 12,000 to destroy a planet, so why were there so many battles with people in the high millions and beyond going all out yet the world remained in tact? Surely by the time the Buu saga rolled around a simple ki blast from Vegeta should've wiped out half a continent.

Who knows why they didn't have a tail. Perhaps ChiChi and Bulma removed them since they knew the effect it had on Saiyans.

I don't remember that being stated. If anything, it would probably be 18,000 instead of 12,000.

Yeah it was somewhere between 10,000 - 20,000 I can't remember the exact number.

With the tails it might of been how Sayian genetics work because Goku and Vegeta didn't have their tails for a long time. So just like how Trunks and Goten got the Super Sayian gene passed down to them. Or it's possible they cut off the tails right away.

Yes they were all powerful but I think you still had to purposely try to destroy the world in order to do it. If someone did a simple chi blast, missed, and hit the ground I don't think it would destroy the world instantly.

I guess that anwser my question but would it be possible for a Saiyan Fusion to go Oozaru if they both had tails before fusing? Imagine Oozaru Gogeta or Oozaru Gotenks!

Answering both of you I don't think Gogeta could go Oozaru because Ss4 is basically harnessing the power of an Oozaru in human form hence why the form looks the way it does.

And the only reason Goku had his tail was because of the wish. He got turned into how he was as a kid so he had a tail as a kid. They can't purposely grow there tails. This is why Vegeta had Bulma build that machine to imitate the tails energy and allow Vegeta to go Ss4.

First of all, Goku did not receive his tail because of any wish; it was pulled out, if you are referring to GT.

Second of all, genes could have something to do with their lack of tails, or quite possibly just a simple removal of them.

Third of all, it's pretty fair to say that you need fire something directly at a planet's core to destroy it. If you don't, a chi blast will just explode and tarnish the area around it. Energy most likely needs to be focused to penetrate a planets crust until it reaches the core.

has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe Trunks just bought his sword somewhere or something? There's nothing really special about it.

Well it did manage to slice Frieza into a shishkebab so it must've been packing more power than your average blade. Hell even Zelda's sword couldn't pull off that ****.

Now, there's an idea.

Daizenshuu 4 had this to say about Goten and Kid Trunks.

Daizenshuu 4

The tailless second generation are super ultra child prodigies.
Saiyan genes have an extraordinarily good compatibility with Earthling blood. Because of this, when the two races are mixed together children with formidable power are born. Particularly, those Halflings born without tails hide an exceptional battle power. There are many things that they naturally master from a young age, such as the ordinarily arduous transformation into a Super Saiyan. In spite of having such an outstanding battle sense, they do not have a fondness for battle like a pure Saiyan. Instead, it seems that the violent temperament of the Saiyan has been relaxed through their Earthling blood.
