another plot hole

Cell tells a story that can leave a pretty big
plothole.
When he explains to Piccolo how he got the
cells from the Z-Fighters, he will recall Gero's
story, and say that the spy robot was there to
get their cells during those fights. However, a
specific part of the story doesn't add up.
When Cell mentions how he got Freeza's and
Cold's cells, he says the spy robot got them
when they came to Earth.
This is the first one. In Cell's original timeline, it
was Goku who defeated Freeza. So, they
would know about the Super Saiyajin. However,
when Cell explains this, it shows Trunks
defeating Freeza, which never happened in
his timeline. I'll leave this one up to a mistake...
The second one is... in the revised timeline, it
was Trunks who defeated Freeza. Cell says
that they didn't get Trunks' cells because they
already had enough Saiyajin cells. However,
how could they know Trunks was a Saiyajin?
And more importantly, if they really did (DNA
check or something?), then wouldn't that make
Gero know about the Super Saiyajin
transformation either way? Just not from
Goku?
The part that doesn't add up is, if any of these
were true, then obviously Gero would know
about the Super Saiyajin transformation, and
he didn't, in neither of the timelines. We know
this because when 17 and 18 fight Trunks and
Vegeta, they mention the transformation as a
"strange phenomenon", because they don't
know about it.
Any thoughts about this? Maybe I'm
overlooking something pretty simple and this
is just a crazy theory...

Answer: Dr. Gero's underground computer

His computer is what finished carrying out his work after he died. That's how Cell was able to learn so much from Gero and about the SSJ transformation. The androids were finished and activated before Gero died and his computer learned about the SSJ transformations.

that's not what I was asking.
Dr. hero didn't know about super ssiyans because he thought gokuwas the only super saiyan.

I'm not sure I follow all of it but I'm guessing the questions basically is how did Dr. Gero NOT know about super sayians. Dr. Gero basically concentrated his work on Android 16 17 18 and 19 NOT Cell. He left the computer alone to complete Cell so he would never come across the data the spy robot picked up.

Yes the computer and the spy robot might know about super sayians but he never looked at that data so he never found out.

I've adapted the DBZ anime by editing the anime seasons down into feature films.

Piccolo Daimao > Piccolo Jr.

Yes, It can be that Gero never looked on the Data. So how can he know? Maybe he stopped after the fight of Vegeta cause he tought that this is Goku at his peak.

Once upon a time, there used to be a signature. Then it got lame, and now I'm out of options for a new one.

Yesterday I watched the episode where Goku fights Pikon and he had electricity around his aura while turning SSJ1. This was also before the seven years of peace.

That could be another plot hole.
