 Thats also possible.
Considering that Gotenks didnt go SSJ3 which is like his trademark.
He only learnt it due to Goku letting Buu go thus creating Super Buu, causing them to go into RoSaT early.

 I think vegeta did know the fusion dance because in the manga he says "I saw it all in the afterlife. I am not doing that preposturas (probably spelt wrong :P) dance!" so i assume he has seen it done or learned it.
