I was talking about a personal comment about an individual's appearance. Which is not racist.

Racism-the prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races Meaning it's racist when people say those comments because of their race, just because a lot of people will think right away that was racist, it does not mean its racist.

If you had said that you told someone of the same race as you no one would make a big fuss about it, some would prob even laugh (which is not right but anyways) but because of a difference race it has to automatically be racism. I just don't like the want for equality but the need for double standards. Like I said skin color/race has nothing to do with how the person is or looks P.S Apologies if I offend anyone, it is not my intention too, I am merely speaking my mind about the subject. So many people stretch it out to be more than it actually is, when I see it as so much more simplistic. The word "nigga" or "LOOK AT ME! I'M BEING RACIST! (AKA Nig R lol)" or the "N word" is used in so many contexts and ways these days that it isn't funny. So I've been seeing on CNN that there's debate on whether or not the word should be BANNED from existance. lol So funny. How is it so difficult to see that words are used for communicating meanings and feelings? The word itself is just that; a word we human beings create. The use and purpose of the word is simply to carry out a form of communication, however, the word can be so many different types of communication and expression; therefore, it is only necessary to be mad at the intended PURPOSE of the word, not the word itself... because. Quite frankly. If you say this word, particularly when it comes to younger, more laid back, immature, and just all-around goofy people, you're going to be meaning it in a non-harmful way 95% of the time. And for any black person who thinks they are owed some sort of debt for a history they THEMSELVES had no part of? *** that. No you don't. Every man is given a chance today. People in America are working more and more, as time SLOWLY progresses, on fairness. There's too many double standards. No one is owed anything and no one owes anyone anything. People make things bigger than it should be. Everyone wants equality but they still complain when people are treated equally. Yet everyone seems to want to be treated differently because they are this and that. I standby what I said I still don't find it racist and just because some dumb people will think it is, it doesn't make it racist

Now i'm no fan of the N word, and I don't use it in any context. But depending on how some people use it just gets to me, like they're trying to mess with my head or something. Maybe it's all in my head, I guess.

Many people can be regarded as looking like a monkey. The Human race supposidely evolved FROM monkeys. I have a friend, who is white, and isnt a rugby player that could be described as monkey looking. Why is it that when I say my white friend looks like a monkey its perfectly acceptable, but if Pelador wanted to say that his black friend that looks like a monkey, looks like a monkey, he gets branded as racist? There is one human race and if we believe evolution then we are all descended from monkeys. People get far too sensative about this kind of thing. The entire concept of racism in modern society is racist because it automatically assumes that white people are the ones discriminating against black or asian or hispanic people or whatever when quite clearly many non-white people believe that society owes them for something that happened to their forefathers, and along with that feeling of unpaid debt comes clear cut racism towards white people and the white people are expected to tolerate it. As Brian and Zero have made clear, there are far too many double standards. If a black person decided to say that his white friend looked like some kind of animal and the white friend got offended, nobody would assume it was because of racism, but if they called their black friend a monkey, get out the banding irons and slap a RACIST mark on his buttcheeks. It truely is rediculous.
