I recently got a pretty good job, and in couple months i plan on getting a new car. The two i have came down to is the S2000 and the Subaru WRX. but i don't know which i should get. Both have pros and cons, and sense i can't make up my mind i was hoping yall could help me decide and why it would be that choice. thank you ~Dark Knight |

Test out both and see which you feel most comfortable driving. |

Consider this stuff: safety...Gas Mileage...Cool looks...size...estimated maintenance cost (some cars have expensive parts or are best repaired at dealerships because they know the car the best) |

You should see if your insurance is cheaper with one than the other too if you haven't done that allready. Should also research the reliabilty. Of course you should also choose the most comfortable too. |

You're missing some important info like year of each vehicle and how much you are willing to spend. Honestly though, if you have the money to get an S2000 and want to have a car with turbo anyway just get an STI. Same price range and comes with turbo. |

I would go with the WRX, the S2000 is a prime target for thieves especially in my area. They love to steal the seats from the S2000 and put them in other Honda's or Acura's. Most of the time the insurance totals the S2000 once the seats are stolen because the replacement cost is high, plus the thieves cut the convertible top to get to them. Also they like to steal the headlights too As far as the WRX, I personally have a Subaru and I love it. The AWD is great for the winter time. They are well built, handle well and are very versatile cars. If you get the turbo'd version it will eat a little more gas but it's very peppy and fun to drive. Also I think the insurance would be higher on a sports convertible. That's my opinion, in the very end it's your choice. Also modding a WRX or STi would be a little cheaper than a S2000, doing a couple mods on a Subaru can give it a lot of power. For example, for my Forester I am installing a STI turbo, a STI top mount intercooler, a turbo back exhaust with a Stage 2 tune. I will be faster than a stock STI and it all cost me less than $1500 and best of all I can do the install myself and use a Cobb Accessport for a tune! Doing the same for a S2000 will cost you thousands of more dollars plus you would have to go to a shop for a professional install and tune. Edited by NJmax2nr99, Sep 21 2010, 06:07 PM.
