That's pretty hard to say, since the whole series was centered around blood, violence, and death. Well, some parts anyway.

Though it may not have been gory, I think Cell's death scene was the most graphic. Sure, there was Kid Buu's, who was just absorbed into the energy blast, like some old foe that didn't matter; but Cell, it was just a little more detailed. Heck, it showed his body slowly being destroyed, and that creeped me out.
Try this, you might like it.

Freeza getting cut in half by his kienzan was pretty graphic, and it was kinda weird seeing his upper half floating around with his endtrails hanging out. In terms of blood I think either Raditz's death was the bloodiest, he kept coughing it up. Either that or Vegeta's first death scene, he coughed up a lot of blood too. He probably got the most brutal beatdown of the series at the hands of Freeza, a whole episode consisting solely of Freeza just pounding the crap out of Vegeta. That was the only time I felt they went a little overboard with the brutality.

And Tenshinhan getting his arm punched off was probably the worst non-lethal injury anyone recieved during a battle, and it should've been much bloodier than it was. The pain must've been unbelievable, can you imaging having half of your arm punched off? And yet somehow he still kept fighting like it was nothing!

Well, there was also when Cell got his body blown off by Vegeta's Final Flash, but it wasn't really lethal, since he could regenerate and all that. Heck, any major attack Cell lived was a little gory.

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

Tenshinhan is a beast.

Freeza's mutilation at the hands of the disks, Raditz death was pretty bad too. Or good, however you wish to refer it as. Broly's defeat in movie 8 was pretty graphic too. An exploding punch, blood bursting out and spraying everywhere as he explodes? Ouch. Piccolo getting owned by Imperfect Cell was also pretty graphic, his neck was broken and a hole blasted through him.

Posted Image - Owned.
WoW Legion Ending - Thank you Darker for making this into one, big incredible gif! <3

What you mean by Graphic? The best looking scene or the most brutal one? If the best looking scene i go with Goku and Vegeta conversation in the World Tornement arena, That one looked pretty good, If the most Brutal i go... with Krillin getting Horn Rape´d by Frieza Seconde Form.
Once upon a time, there used to be a signature. Then it got lame, and now I'm out of options for a new one.

Mine would be Raditz death, that was alot of blood. Cargo being executed by Frieza...just a little kid. The old man and woman from the Buu saga that get sniped by those assholes, and possibly Guldo being decapitated by Vegeta with nerves still firing and eyes still blinking...pretty hardcore. But gotta go with 2nd Form Frieza horn *****ing Krillin. These may not be the most graphic, but these are those moments that make the show all the more enthralling. People often forget that this show is designed for an older audience than the 7 year old kids watching it now. But i digress, the series is an excellent show for all ages to enjoy and i look forward to many more generations taking the same dedication we all have. I guess that why they show the edited versions though, because somehow the image of Vegeta punching a hole clean through Zarbon's stomach, complete with lots of purple blood(apperently you can show as much blood as you want, as long as its not incenuated to be human), or when Trunks hacks all of Frieza's men to bits in midair and their body parts come raining from the sky, would probrably raise eyebrows from parents who are concerned that little Timmy might be growing up too fast because just last week he was watching Pokemon or Jackie Chan adventures, where the sight of somewone spitting up saliva from a gut punch is rare(in DBZ thats considered edited, usually its a torrent of blood from like, a collapsed organ or something.)

For such a bloody show, DBZ was never focused around dark colors. It was always bright and kid-friendliness -- until the blood came.

I always saw Krillin's getting impaled as the bloodiest. Frieza just kept making the hole bigger with his horn, and Krillin couldn't do a damn thing.

I was always disturbed by Cell absorbing Android 18. it made me think horrible thoughts ;_;

What isn't kid friendly about DBZ? Grown men screaming at each other for 20 minutes straight, the geography of the planet( hills, mountains, cliffs, solid rock)being used like the turnbelts of a wrestling ring by these superpowered beings. Blood spit and ***** all over the place everytime theres a fight. But we did not get to witness much of this beautiful artwork on the Toonami-aired version i remember as a kid, coming home from school, throwing my backpack down at the front door, bolting for my room just in time to grab a snack and watch 2 back to back episodes of the best fighting show ever made. I got screwed out of the real deal though, like all the youngsters are now wth this new Kai. Nobody could say kill...that sounds too violent and permanent. Destroy was voted to be a much more acceptable word in its place. And the language on the unedited box seasons(i own all 1-9) was so colorful compared to the darn you that we all became so accostomed to hearing (though they do still say "darn" or "curse" you quite a bit in the unedited as well). But i fear that this Kai will once again do what Toonami did to DBZ. Deprive this nw generation of avid young viewers from enjoying this show in its entireity, without being watered down. Sorry, im babbling. feel free to get back to me on this though.

DBZ was made for kids -- it's a kid cartoon in Japan. In the environment we grew up in (whether Britain or America), it's considered more grown up because of the violence and blood. Even with all of the censors removed, DBZ is not the gore-fest many people think it is. Want a martial arts blood-fest, an anime series that's really for adults? Check out Fist of the North Star (the 1986 movie would be preferable to anime series, but it's still censored to a degree -- you can see all the head explosions and deaths, but the graphic stuff is saturated so the colors almost run together, which makes it more painful to watch).

I loved Toonami, and I don't regret watching the edited version then. There are worse things that could have been done (watch 4Kids' version of "One Piece," and try not to cry when you see how butchered it was). Nicktoons is more-or-less the same with Kai as Toonami was with the trilogy. A little more blood is cleaned up, and of course the cursing is non-existent (which it barely was in the anime anyway), but death is death, violence is violence. No "next dimention," and better yet -- the episodes titles are just translations of the Japanese ones.

Kai is the DBZ story in its entireity -- it's the closest it's ever gotten to the original manga, which is the full original story as-is. All the filler is gone -- all of it was unneeded anyway, made just as DBK is: to stretch out the series and make some profits. Dragon Ball (Z) Kai was just lucky -- it was also made to celebrate the anniversary of Dragonball.

appreciate the input ryanson, guess I should give Kai a chance as I havnt seen it yet, but iv heard it was just a re-mastered DBZ aired for Nick, but that the more graphic sequences had been edited out for the shows primetime airing.

Well seeing as we have had this conversation before buddy and I am shocked that no one has mentioned it yet I would have to say the most graphic and brutal scene in all of DBZ history is super 13 landing a falcon dick punch from hell into the crotch of SSJ Goku. I mean instant revert to his base from and he was out of the fight for a while. For the people that say the movies are something different because they are not by Toriyama then I would have to say Vegeta after he had been beat down and he was crying, Vegeta the KING (he was no longer prince after planet Vegeta was blown to hell. God it is the number one thing about him that I can't stand -.-) of all Saiyans is CRYING while covered in blood and beat to a pulp. It was one of the only scenes that sticks out like no other. Sure a 100 other graphic scenes happened that stick out but most of them just made me shout "Holy *****!" Vegeta crying.... now that was crazy

That wasn't graphic, but damn if it wasn't funny.

Yeah it was funny but I have seen that movie more times than I can count, watched it in slow mo, frame by frame, loops, and any other way I can think off and every time I see that punch it hurts... Sure I will give you a lot of brutal things have happened but that move.... that was just wrong.

I always thought Freeza beating the ***** out of Vegeta was pretty brutal. The nudity scenes were kinda graphic...but I guess it depends on what you mean.

has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe Trunks just bought his sword somewhere or something? There's nothing really special about it.

Y2J

Well it did manage to slice Frieza into a shishkebab so it must've been packing more power than your average blade. Hell even Zelda's sword couldn't pull off that ****.

ObsessiveFanGirl

I don't believe in power levels after the Frieza Saga. :D
Now, there's an idea.
