Everyone in here that has known me, knows that I am usually one of the first people to defend America. In this case however I cannot. The big sport to them in here is American football which I dont like it at all. But anyways I'm beginning to get sick of the analysts always trying to make things like the American football.Like they were talking about soccer today with ignorance. They were complaining about the stoppage time, saying that they should just stop the time during the game like the American football does. That would just be terrible that is one of the reasons why I hate American football and I am glad that soccer the time is continuous. Another thing they complained about was games being able to end in a tie in the first stage, another stupid thing they said was to have overtime and even penalty shootouts in the first round, why because here in Amercia for some reason they are against draws which is dumb. But I really hate when Americans talk about soccer because it's a sport they pretty much disregard, I rarely hear of soccer in sports center except for now in the world cup. It's also annoying how they are making such a huge deal of tying against England when in reality they got really lucky for getting that goal, and England did not play their best football, because had England played their best they would have won easily. USA is not bad in soccer but they aren't as good as they think they are either.

Anyways like I said ussualy I am one of the first people to defend America, but not on this, because they are ignorant when it comes to soccer/football they think everything has to be like their crappy American football

Yo

It's pretty amazing USA's ability in football, considering that it's only their 6th most popular sport.
imagine if it was the biggest sport.

The people saying those things do sound annoying, but there's plenty of arrgoant British sports analysts too.

There's a particular commentator who sometimes covers Rugby that often gets on my nerves. Sorry I can't remember his name. He always seems to winge and moan about one of the teams playing and how the referee isn't doing his job properly. Sometimes he spends about five minutes ranting about a decision then decides that actually the referee was right after all. Dick :) Sorry that was slightly off topic but since we were on the subject of sports analysis I thought I might as well bring it up. Back on topic, I quite like American Football but I can't watch match after match like I can with real football. Those analysts sound like ignorant rednecks who have never left America and probably drive trucks.

Well two of them were African Americans so don't really fall into the red neck category maybe the other one does lol, but all three American none the less. Only the American woman actually defended soccer

Isn't it often percieved as a woman's game in America? I can't understand that as most of the time it's really rough and some footballers are huge.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

Yeah American's attitude to Football does really annoy me. They disregard it because it doesn't follow the rules that they think a sport should follow and because they aren't the best at it.

The only other sport I'm interested in in America is basketball, and the analysts aren't annoying there because they respect the sport, the athletes and know what they're talking about. So I don't think it's necessarilly the sport's analysts that are annoying, just their attitude and ignorance to football.
