I think Lennon is great on the right wing, he just needs more confidence to run at them hard, he has the pace and he can deliver a great ball. England lack a decent natural left winger, but Joe Cole has proven he can play there, he can hold up the ball well, dribble, cross and even shoot. If Capello put them on and Gerrard and Lampard centre I think it would work better, Lampard and Gerrard both played well against USA. I think for most of the game the CBs and Cole played very well, apart from a few mistakes like Terrys god awful pass back. Glen Johnson on the other hand was terrible, He mustve had about a 10% pass completion that game, most of the time he can play really well. Rooney was just not on it this game. I really have NO IDEA why heskey is in the team, the point of a striker, ESPECIALLY a target man, has to have the ability to score, something Heskey doesnt have, I really think Bent should replace him. Portugal, Spain, England, Germany, France(regardless that I love it when France loses) have been huge disappointments so far. Germany had a good game but it was against Australia. It will all depend on the last game. France and England have had two disappointing games, as for Portugal and Spain we will find out Monday how they do. |

Probably terrible too. I wonder what the heck's going on with all the good teams? Don't get me wrong I'm glad France, Germany and Spain lost but something really weird is happening in this tournament and I don't think it's the ball. The water maybe? Or even just the general atmosphere? Something's not right anyway. |

I think its a mixture of the weather since its cold in there, as well as that really annoying noise that is on in all of the games. But it def has been weird So Italy has just been involved in yet another upset in this world cup, its's all very interesting. Italy will still go through unfortunately, with Paraguay. No doubts there. If there's any team I dislike in the world cup, it's Italy because they choose to cheat even when they're winning. It's disgraceful. Also, Heskey shouldn't be replaced by Bent. |

Even though the red card to Kaka helps Portugal I dont agree with it. Also Ivory Coast is just plain disgusting and dirty. They were always causing trouble in the game against Portugal and now against Brasil they have once again that they are a dirty team. I hope North Korea can beat them, I really dislike them after seeing them against Portugal and now Brasil |

You seem to have forgotten to mention how much worse Brazil were when it came to diving and play acting. It was ridiculous. I think Ivory Coast just gave them a taste of their own medicine at the end. The referee was a clown too sending off that guy near the end when he didn't touch him lol. Oh and then there's that handball. So you can't really talk about how dirty Ivory Coast were without mentioning Brazil being a bunch of olympic divers and ametuer actors. |

tbh, I've always considered Ashley Cole Englands best player. I don't it's anything affecting the top teams, I think the gap between the elite teams and the ones that are there to make up the numbers is closing/ Plus a lot of the underdog teams use tactics which make them hard to break down, staying defensive and playing with high tempos, ultimately going for 0-0 draws or 1-0 wins. Edit: If I was choosing between Bent and Heskey, especially considering their standards at club level, Bent is miles ahead. then again I wouldn't play two conventional strikers either. I dont agree with Brasil's second goal either, it only shows how bad referees have been in the world cup. But its not bad about brasil acting and etc, Ivory Coast has played pretty dirty both of their games, and not to mention both games they throw themselves at players, this game Kaka and the other one Ronaldo both times neither player did anything wrong. Sure Ronaldo can be a cry baby at times, but last game he had good reason for being mad for getting a yellow card for nothing Well this was complete ownage, slaughter whatever you wanna call it, 7-0 is just wow, I was not expecting this much, I expected 2-0 or 3-0 but 7-0 thats just crazy. So are you happy with their performance? They have more goals than everybody else in the tournament from that one game. I feel sorry for the North Koreans though. They tried so hard an got kicked out of the World Cup in such a humiliating way. I just wonder what's going to happen in the Brazil vs Portugal game, just to see whether Portugal's form isn't just a one off result. |

With today's perfomance I am quite happy even in the first half when they only scored one goal they were attacking good. Defense a little sloppy still which kind of scares me for the match against Brasil but still had a good perfomance, of course second half was ownage, complete one side. I don't feel bad for North Korea at all they were talking about getting revenge for what Portugal did against them in the 60's when North Korea was winning 3-0 and Portugal came back to win 5-3 4 goals by Eusebio. Plus it seemed like they gave up playing therefore I don't really feel bad, a team has to do with what they got. And Portugal needed as many goals as they could to make it tougher on Ivory Coast to make it. As for Brasil I am curious too to see how they do. Chances are they will most likely lose, but hopefully they can make it a close game, Ill be content if its a close game |

Strawberry is banned from the topic... haha  Was New Zealands goal offside, I know the guy wasnt at the freekick but I thought there was an Italian Touch which means he wouldnt have been offside, if it was a New Zealand tocuh he was clearly offiside, My Step Dad said that Italy shouldnt have gotten a Penalty. Me and some friends are gonna drink and watch the France game hoping they will get knocked out lol. |

That's a great idea. My dad got some nice Whisky for father's day and we were going to drink it all when England lose on wednesday. But drinking it when France lose sounds even better. I wonder if they'll even bother turning up? They better because I want to get pissed and throw up on my mother's rug
