I saw the Greece vs. S. Korea game. Greece is a decent team, they should have played better than they did vs Korea. Their defense really melted down on the 2 Korean goals. 2-0 S. Korea today done Japan 1 vs Cameroon 0 Holland 2 vs Denmark 0 Italy vs Paraguay, later today |

Ive seen every game so far except for the France vs Uraguay match. A lot of the tournament has been boring so far. Germany have been the most exciting team so far in my opinion. I'm happy that South Korea, Japan and Ghana have managed to pull off wins. |

I was really hoping Paraguay would scrape the win tonight. I love an underdog. However, Italy really upped their game during the second half. They were still pretty average though. NORTH KOREA FTW |

Yeah, the tournament's been pretty boring so far. The first match was the only good one. The Germany vs Australia game was pretty good, but only because Germany played well, it was a little one-sided. |

He means Honda. Anyway. Games with lots of goals are interesting, even if they are one sided. I'm expecting a big win for Brazil when they play North Korea. The North Korean's may as well just give up now haha, they're ranked 106th in the world, the worst ranked team in the tournament, and they're facing Brazil who are ranked number 1. Also, I don't think Paraguay are underdogs in this tournament. With the way they played last night it seems like Italy were really struggling against them, it was just unfortunate that they managed to slip up towards the end. Hopefully they'll have a good tournament. |

I am really mad that Portugal played like crap today. Yes Ivory Coast has a good team, but Portugal should have played better, they should have the better team and they should have won today. It was a boring game and now Portugal is in deep crap for the rest of the tournament. Brazil has always had their number, and North Korea won't be an easy team either. In a game where both Goalkeepers don't even work that's just plain boring. Highly disappointed in the Portuguese team. |

I was routing for Ivory Coast. I don't like the way some of the Portugese players dive when there's hardly any contact. I especially don't like Ronaldo. I understand that Ivory Coast weren't playing entirely fair either. However every World Cup, Portugal have the same cheating attitude. Especially that cocky bell end Ronaldo. Brilliant footballer though

Are you kidding? Portugal should walk over North Korea after this. They will have to up their game against Brazil, but Portugal are doing just about the same as other teams that have high expectations of them. England and Italy for example. It was only the first game, sure they didn't score any goals, but at least they didn't let in any goals. England did and now they have the media all up their ***** making them worry about who is going in goal for the next game. Portugal just have some minor problems to deal with. North Korea is an easy win, so thats 3 points for them there. They got 1 point from Ivory Coast so that makes 4, and with any luck they'll get a draw or maybe a win against Brazil. That's not bad going. The Ivory Coast were suffering at the end because they're unfit. Portugal don't have that problem, so if it does come to a fight for second place, the Ivory Coast are likely to suffer from running out of steam too soon. I wouldn't worry. Also, I agree with Pelador to some extent. Even though I picked out Portugal as one of my teams in our family sweepstakes thing, I did want Ivory Coast to knock in a goal purely out of dislike of Christiano Ronaldo. The English owe him some payback for last World Cup's fiasco. Edited by Bex, Jun 15 2010, 04:18 PM.

Eh Pelador Portugal does nto play dirty as you say they do. I agree someimes Cristiano Ronaldo may over react yes he may, but not the rest of the team. Also Every single time today against Ronaldo he was TOUCHED by a player and were right fouls. He got a yellow card he did not even deserve today. As for The last fiasco Rooney is another trouble maker too, I don't really like him. But saying Portugal is a dirty team as Pelador is trying to say is just plain dumb. EVERY and I mean EVERY country has players that dive for no reason so don't use that as a way of saying a team is dirty. Portugal has a great team, great players. I like Cristiano I only wish he didn't over react as much but he's still is an amazing player and he used to be a lot worst in terms of attitude when he was younger. As for North Korea no one really knows how they are going to be like, I guess we'll find out today And watching todays game I would say that the dirty team is Ivory Coast Also I know Portugal isn't out of it yet, I just don't like games being thrown away, games that they should win, should be won. They were not playing to win. Had they been playing to win and tied I would have tipped my hat to Ivory Coast, but they were playing sloppy soccer. Bad paces, bad possessions, bad shots, only good shot came in the first half by Ronaldo. Throwing games away isn't good you never know what can happen. if Ivory Coast ends up beating north korea by more than Portugal there's an issue right there already. It's only three games you have to win as much as you can. Edited by -Zero-, Jun 15 2010, 04:43 PM.

Wow, that was an interesting game. Brazil 2, North Korea 1. The Brazilians were pretty dire in my books. They got a lucky goal at the beginning of the second half, which if they had missed would have meant that Brazil would have drawn with North Korea. North Korea were fantastic to watch considering I had thought they'd be pretty bad before hand, so much much much credit to them for playing as well as they did against such a difficult side. |

Sure North Korea did not play that bad and I had already said that no one really knows how North Korea will end up playing, but they were not that impressive either. They had like one real dangerous attack and good for them they scored on it. Ball possession was all Brazil. Korea would easily lose the ball, they were easily getting crossed, but I give it to their defense, it was thanks to their defense that they kept Brazil to only 2 and not more. But still a better performance by North Korea than most expected |

To be honest, The Asian teams aren't particularily impressive (S.korea the exception) but they have incredible discipline at times and this makes them hard to play against. If a team is underperforming then playing someone like Japan or N.Korea isn't massively easy due to the pressure and men they put behind the ball. Portugal need Ronaldo to play well, they have little chance anyway but it's impossible to write off a team with Ronaldo playing at his best, however although he had a pretty great shot today he lost the ball far too many times and was too much of a luxury. |

Indeed. Their defence was pretty good up until the last 20 minutes. Then they started to tire and get a bit sloppy. So did Brazil which is how they conceded the goal. North Korea did not play particularly well. They gave away posession, their passing was sloppy and they only had one half decent striker. I'm thinking that if Brazil struggled against a side like North Korea, How would they match up to a better team such as Germany or England? |

Yeah North Korea played very well, considering their expectations. They still won't ualify from the group though. I'm arguing online with someone who thinks Ronaldo is better than Messi. He says Ronaldo is just a "midfielder" and that Messi is just a "striker". Lord help me. |
