I have a job, but it's not really a meeting place for people as you spend hours on the computer listening to your music, with 10 minute breaks in between. Apart from that, I have no way to meet girls. And I feel exactly the same, I get lonely now and then and a girlfriend is the solution to that really. I'm tired of being single :P As for dating websites, I have no idea. I'm not too big on them though. Firefox Favourite Manga Dragonball	I completely agree. I bet there's a ton of weirdos on them. I didn't know you had to pay though. That sucks. It's a bit like whoring yourself in a way. On the plus side, it is a good way to meet new and interesting people. Also, I'm never going to meet anyone if I just sit in my room playing my Xbox and my guitar all day. I wish there was another way but I'm sick of seeing couples everywhere and waking up on my own.

FireFox Favourite Manga Fruits Basket	There are free or partly free dating services out there, though I wouldn't know on the quality of them, from first impressions, they seem pretty this or that in terms of finding people, I'm sure there are transgender services out there but I'm not intrested enough. Search for "Free Dating" on a search site, there are some dateing applications on Facebook too. http://www.facebook.com/zooskdating Is one that I've seen some people at my uni using, not sure how good or bad it is.

I'm not if there are any clubs or pubs around where you live, they can be alright for this sorta thing. If that's not your scene maybe do volunteer work or pick up a hobby you like which can be done in a group activity or a place where you could meet someone (swimming, book club etc)

It's not that I have any past experiences or know of any particular horror stories involving them, but I just don't trust them. And most certainly not if you have to pay, best avoid them I'd say!
