Are people who always swear, funny or annoying?

Some people just can't seem to stop swearing. Every other word begins with an F or a C. Do you find this trait annoying or funny? I'd say it was annoying. This guy on X-box live the other day kept using the C word over and over again and it drove me nuts. I only find it funny in moderation, like when somebody's having a rant because they stubbed their toe or got beaten on Call of Duty.

Did you get inspiration from my censored attempt to say "Kick *****" in the official chat topic? ahah

But yeah, I agree with you. It's just down right annoying when people say one swear word for each sentence. Sometimes even more than that. I love polite and educated people. I'm okay with saying a swear word every now and then and I'll admit it SOMETIMES help you making your point, but I hate to have to hear those words all the time when I'm talking to somebody.

I don't mind hearing it all the time on TV though that's the funny thing. In fact, for me tv shows with frequent bad language such as Shameless and Skins are enriched by this. But then they don't use swear words all the time. Although Shameless is pretty close.

I LOVE SHAMELESS.

I don't mind the swear words used on Shameless at all. I mean, look at the show's name... you'd expect some strong vocabulary from "Shameless", right? :P
And it's that type of show that represents a certain lifestyle that wouldn't seem realistic at all without the swear words.

I'm one of those people that swears all the time, but I don't mean it. :(

Like, when I'm around a teacher or someone else I have to watch my mouth round, I'm fine, no problems, and the same around family (unless it's my brother, he swears all the time too). But as soon as I'm in a conversation with friends, I start swearing loads. And I don't even really notice that I am doing so, but if I did I would stop. It's just sort of... instinct now. :S

I seldom swear on x-box live though. ;)

EDIT: I never actually answered the question lol. No. No I don't find excessive swearing annoying or funny. It's just something a lot of people do.

I'm EXACTLY like Sousen :P There's some sort of mental automatic switch in my head that turns offswearing when I'm around family or in a situation where swearing wouldn't be appropriate. But around friends I swear a fair amount. I think I have been influenced because 2 of my closest friends swear a massive amount, even around family.

As for constant swearing, I don't find it funny or annoying. It doesn't bother me really (unless it's used with a constant aggressive tone) which is probably because of the areas I've lived in.

Same here, I too swear when I'm talking to friends, but not when around family or at school. It's like swears have incorporated in our language. Most of the them have a meaning other than the one they had originally, so they are not really used as swears, but are still considered as such (by old folks).

Anyways, I don't mind constant swearing nor I think it's funny.

Oh come on now, I also swear when I'm talking to friends. Just not too often to the point where it gets annoying.

Do you guys use swear words in every sentence?

...

More or less.

However, I don't know what you mean by "to the point it gets annoying." Since three different people in this topic have said that it doesn't annoy them, it's obviously a matter of opinion whether it's annoying at all, let alone the idea that there's a line that people cross between casually swearing at a tolerable level and getting annoying.

I've never paid much attention to it, but I do swear a fair bit. Definately not every sentence, but if I was to guess it would be about every 4-5. Which is probably entirely inaccurate as it's impossible to tell :P

Why so serious.

I know it's a matter of opinion. I was talking from my point of view... -_- wasn't that obvious?

I think it's very annoying. You don't need to swear to get your point across. There are times when I think it's funny, but it's very situational. Like this weekend when I was at my uncles Turkey farm his dog came out and started pooping by us. He was like "what the *****? get that ***** out of here you dumb *****!" and then he started chasing him away.

Honestly I started cracking up. lol

I think ocasionally a swear word can help you get your point across.
I'm not talking about serious debates or anything like that, but for example, some song lyrics... sometimes a swear word is worth a million other words. It depends on what the artist is trying to express and the way it's done.

It pisses me off they cut swear words out of songs. Especially when there's loads of swear words in the song so it ends up sounding like a broken CD. Back on topic (sort of) I have to admit, I swear quite a lot. But I use my language constructively. I won't constantly use one swear word over and over and I try to be creative. I suppose what really annoys me about people swearing all the time is that they don't often do this. So it's more the repettativeness of them using the same word over and over that I find irritating, rather than the word itself. Unless it's the C word, which is just horrible.

....i never use swear words. i think its fine, especially when people get passionate about what they are talking about and the words help them express them selves. It does get annoying sometimes, especially on xbox live...I need to start swearing at people.
