My predictions are: Best Picture: The Hurt Locker Best Director: James Cameron (Avatar) Best Actor: Colin Firth (A Single Man) Best Actress: Gabourey Sibide (Precious)

I was basing my predictions partly on that, because it's generally quite a good indicator of the Oscar winners. The Hurt Locker's about an American bomb squad in Iraq. I haven't seen it, but that's the gist of it. Yeah, Avatar has Visual Effects in the bag, probably Sound, and Best Director's likely to go to Cameron, it was a pretty remarkable achievement.

I'm curious to watch The Hurt Locker now, it seems like it got a well deserved promotion with the Oscars. I enjoyed last year's ceremony better than this year's, though. It was more entertaining.
