It truly was a Shawshank redemption

Before the Jamison addition, I'd have said the Cavaliers. However now we have to wait and see how he fits in to their system and whether they can keep their defensive efficiency (don't have to worry about offence with LeBron on the team).

But now I'd say the Lakers. Kobe's had a long break to rest all his injuries and when he makes his comeback (if he hasn't already) he'll be rejuvinated. As long as he's healthy for the play-offs, and his supporting cast can play their roles fully, there's no looking past them.

Outside shots, possibly Denver. Carmelo's been playing very well and looks as if he wants to go one step further than the Western Conference finals last season. From the East, I'd go for Atlanta as an underdog. I really like their team, they have good chemistry and play good basketball.

I wish the Rockets would take it, but I think the LA Lakers or the Boston Celtics will take it.
I'm pretty sure that would be the NBA Finals. If not, Then the Lakers and Cavs.

The Dallas Mavericks are in 1st place in the southern division. They MIGHT have a chance. I don't know, maybe not.

I think that Boston are finished in terms of the championship race. They're such an aging team and players like Garnet, Allen and Rasheed are shadows of their former selves. They'll maybe make a push, but I'd put Cleveland, Orlando and Atlanta ahead of them. It'll be interestgin to see what they do next season, how they'll go about rebuilding. They have Allen's contract expiring so they'll have a bit of money to play with in the off-season with plenty of players to choose from.

I like Dallas' team and think they could be a surpise. Butler and Haywood were great additions and should add something extra, but it doesn't put them on the Lakers' level.

I completely agree with you on Boston. I was glad they got to win at least 1 championship.
Yeah, they're just to old now... haha but Lebron James and the Cavs should own everyone but the Lakers. lol

Oh and the Mavericks are good, but like you said, not on the Lakers level.

I say: NBA Finals - Lakers vs Cavs, Lakers in 6.
