- Again, I'd suggest you to do some research about it. You'll find the evidenceI was talking about. It's perfectly possible that they could have missed that one. You can't fully rely on that webpage.

Who?What?Where?When?Why?How? Explain.

- It is true that manga > anime, however, you cannot say that every single anime fact is invalid. It amplifies facts that don't appear in the manga.

It could be , but 18 saying that he could handle Piccolo better than 17 is underestimating his power , not that she would take him down.

- Same happens with Jeice. Jeice is Ginyu Force's number 2, however, his power level rests slightly below Recoome's and Burter.

Watch Goku vs Recoome , then watch Goku vs Jeice Burter , so many differences. Strenght is not the only thing. And Sauza> Doore for sure , there is no otherwise.

I looked it up, but the only stuff about an interview I see is by a user called Who Owns My Heart (Welcome to DBZF, by the way!) so I don't know if that counts. XD

Do you remember where you found that interview? I could probably find it if you have any recollection of what type of media it was!

- Okay, it's up to you doing research about it or not. Just don't discard it, because you can't confirm it is false. Many people are aware of that statement.
- 18's statement can be seen in the Japanese dub as well. it is true that the manga is the canon source, but the fact that the anime contains new facts doesn't mean you have to discard them.
- It's not my opinion. Again, those are official power levels.

All I found was basically the same post on the DB wiki (surprise, surprise). Apparently no one can cite this interview.

Many people were aware the earth was flat. I did my research and came up with nothing. You don't seem to understand what burden of proof is if you think I'm the one that needs to find this interview...

Why don't you actually provide any proof behind your claims? You can say them all you want, but that doesn't make them true. Give direct quotes, screenshots, etc.

Uh, no, there are no official power levels given for the Ginyu Force except for Captain Ginyu. They're all stated to be around the same power in the manga, except Gurd and the captain.

The manga itself states that 18's power was suppressed further than 18's, there's literally nothing else that needs to be said.

Chapter: 367 (DBZ 173), title page
Text box: “Her power is more suppressed than No.17's, but in the end she too is a failure who doesn't listen to orders.”

No fake interview, no DB Wiki entry can trump that...

I don't think this guy cares what the manga says, judging by his posts. He should've conceded when he read the thread I linked him to, if he even read it.

:/ I'm awfully confused. Isn't the burden of proof usually on the person who brings UP the evidence?

You're not giving us anything to discard. I think it's a fascinating subject and would like to see the interview just because it sounds interesting.

I like how you guys are all such fans of your own posts

17 just seemed like big headed talker, so I never took his word for it about being the strongest, it always seemed to me like just 17 and 18 are about the same level.

There is no interview. This guy either pulled it from his own ***** or is blindly following someone else who pulled it from their ***** because they misinterpreted several sequences in the show.

It's stupid how many times I have re-post links because people ignore them.

Some believe they are equal, some believe #17 is superior, and some even believe #18 is stronger. What's the truth? Well, there is a page in the manga showing Gero's creations, and it states that #17 is indeed the stronger of the two. Here is the page:

A closer look:

Posted Image

This is from the manga itself, so it isn't as if you could disregard it like some do with guidebook entries. Speaking of guidebooks, Daizenshuu #4 has two entries supporting #17 being stronger.

Quote:

A female type, rare among artificial humans. Judging her by her appearance will backfire severely. Being human-based, she has the ability to mother children. Though she wields less power than her twin brother No. 17, she is still enough of a warrior to overwhelm Super Saiyan Vegeta.

Quote:

A cool-headed artificial human who enjoys battles as if they were games. As the twin brother of No. 18, he places more importance on power. Like No. 18, he is fundamentally human-based and only his organic matter has been restructured. The few mechanical parts that are used were for his emergency deactivation controller and self-destruction device. If the emergency deactivation controller is used on the powerful No. 17 and No. 18, they become unable to move their bodies.

This proves there was a gap, but not how big of a gap. To go further, we have statements from the manga.

Chapter: 353 (DBZ 159), P1.1-3
Context: after Trunks, Piccolo, Tenshinhan, and Kuririn arrive
No.17: “My my, some help has arrived. Even No.18 probably won’t be able to take them all on. No choice, shall I go? Or will you go, No.16?”

Chapter: 362 (DBZ 168), P8.4-6
No.17: “So why don’t you tell us who’s fighting who, while you’re at it?”
No.16: “I don’t know. Neither is in my data. But one of the powers is large enough to rival you two.”
No.17: “What?! Looks like Doctor Gero screwed up again. Your radar is broken. There’s no power in the world that rivals mine.”

Chapter: 368 (DBZ 174), P5.5-7
Piccolo: “Your speed is pretty good...But your punch lacks weight.”
No.17: "What? Say, who do you think you’re talking to? I’m Android No.17, the strongest in history…”

The first one implies that #18 can't handle SSjin Vegeta and the other Zet Senshi. In the second, it's implied by #16 that #17 and #18 are at least somewhat close in power, enough for Piccolo to rival the both of them. #17 contradicts this and says nobody rivals him. He goes on to say later against Piccolo that he is the strongest, once again.

#18's reaction to Piccolo fighting evenly with #17 should also be noted.

Chapter: 368 (DBZ 174), P8.3
No.18: “He really is tough. He’s on par with No.17.”

If that doesn't end this ridiculous discussion, then there's little we can do for this guy.

I don't know.

Statements that #17 is stronger than #18 in the manga: 2
Implicated statements that #17 is stronger than #18 in the manga: 1
AT's thoughts on #17 being stronger than #18 in the manga: 1 (page)
Guidebook entries stating #17 is stronger than #18: 2

And all this guy's done is thrown around an interview that nobody can find, the turdy TV special, and a scene in the anime that may or may not be what he's saying it is since we have no context.
