Everyone always assumes that 17 is the more powerful android. However I was watching the show in Japanese the other day and I don't remember it mentioning that 17 was more powerful. Feel free to correct me if I just wasn't paying attention. |

it was never stated that 17 was stronger. Some people have made a theory that the lower the numbers go, the stronger the Android is. 20 < 19 < 18 < 17 < 16 I dont think so though. 18 and 17 were supposed to be identical twins. So they should be the same strength. Its obvious 18 owned SSJ Vegeta pretty bad, without trying much at all. Im sure 17 would have put up the same fight vs. Vegeta, and that 18 would last about as long as 17 did against Kamicollo. so i believe that they are even. |

Lol nice one Super Goku on the Kamicollo part and i love your avatar by the way. Now as for 17 and 18 i agree with Super Goku they would surely be the same strength being twins. |

Well just because they're twins doesn't mean they have the same amount of strength, it's probably assumed because 17 is a boy. He also has a certain screen presence that sort of implies that he is stronger, but maybe thats just me. |

I agree. I think it is just assumed as 17 normally takes the lead. Though I think it may have said somewhere that 17 was a bit stronger... Though that could have just been a stupid dub line which was mentioned once and then never mentioned again. ~Tim |

Its the in the Manga that 17 is stronger than 18, he flat out states he's the strongest Android although he doesn't know 16's strength. However 18 doesn't argue so 17 > 18... |

Yes, #17 states numerous times he's the strongest android ever created...though #16 knew he was stronger and kept his mouth shut. #18 could of been on par with #17 and just didn't want to start a fight. I think we're supposed to assume #17 is a little stronger though. |

I would agree with the others above in saying that Seventeen is a little bit stronger. Then again, it could've been his ego talking, but, I'd rather not complicate things, lols. |

That's a very good point! 17 definitely does have a big ego so it could well have been the main reason for that. Does any other character ever say that 17 is stronger?? ~Tim |

I think 17 may be stronger, but 18 is less cocky, which makes her a better fighter. |

In terms of skill, I actually think 17 was a better fighter then 18. Vegeta put up a good fight against 18 when he was much weaker which doesn't say much about 18's skill to me. 17 was able to match an equally strong Piccolo and he is one of the best fighters in the series.

Yes, but there is no way Piccolo ever matched that level of strength!! By this stage Saiyins were well ahead of the game. Hence I will say that 18 was the better fighter. Not to mention we have all seen how they like to 'play' with their fights. ~Tim |

Piccolo after fusing with Kami was stronger then any Super Saiyan at the time. Vegeta even said so himself when he saw Piccolo powered up after his first fight with Cell, which is why Piccolo was able to put up an even fight against #17 whereas Super Saiyan Vegeta got beat around by #18. Piccolo (Super Namek) > Super Saiyan Vegeta/Goku (before time chamber). Qwuall did make a good point. Vegeta was able to last quite a long time against #18 despite being weaker then her, whereas #17 was able to match an equally strong Piccolo who is one of the best fighters in the series. #17 is probably more skillful. I didn't get the impression #18 actually liked fighting that much, she was more concerned about getting new clothes. |

Vegeta couldn't even land a punch on 18 when she put some effort into it. I'd bank on the androids being roughly the same. 17 might be a bit stronger because he is male though. |
