dont bother buying the books anymore. i stopped after vol. 25. though it is good if you want to like, study it for reference reasons and stuff, its so much cheaper to read them online for free.
plus, that way you get the latest chapter (well, once you get there)

and yes, bleach is..Awesome.

It's good, but so many other manga are better. Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist, for example.

FINE JEEZ

Bleach was the first manga I ever read, and that alone has earned it my devotion to see it through to the end, even if it gets really bad. Which it hasn't. If anything, I'd say Bleach has been getting better and better, as a wider of superior and cooler characters are added.

But yeah, once you've caught up and you only get a chapter once a week, it loses a bit of its magic. So at the moment I would say that finished mangas like 666Satan and Hellsing that you can read right the way through are better, but only because you get the choice of when to read, which makes a huge difference.

I don't really like BLEACH, but I do like Mayuri Kurotsuchi and Nemu. They vocalize well together on their duet song - 12. And May's single song - Not Perfect is Good, is win and full of sexy. Plus I'm a sucker for the mad scientists types. <3

Bleach Bleach Bleach! *goes fangirl*

Shoorah. I love Bleach! With its diverse cast, suspenseful plot ( not so suspenseful these days), and awesome songs, how can you not love it?

Bleach was one of the first manga I've ever read. That quickly transitioned into the anime, which I would watch weekly when it was airing. I do think they messed up some of the characters in America, such as Grimmjow and Nel. Nel doesn't sound the same at all. D:

Hmm. I could sit here and write an essay on why I love Bleach, but, I won't waste your time with that. :P

I thought it was another generic anime trying to be like DBZ, but with some interesting characters and a new look at the after life. What really bothers me with it, like with most anime, is a lack of exlination for their insanely powerful abilities, and how they keep getting stronger, but for the most part, look the same.

most anime follows this formula, which is where I can classify it as "DBZ wannabe" or "generic", but there are some that actually have even the slightest explination with some continuity that make the insane powers more comprehensible and congruent with the story.

Like apparently everyone else in the universe, Bleach was the first manga I read. I loved the pre-soul society arc, then I read the Soul Society Arc, and that was better, then the Hueco Mundo Arc, and then that was better... Then I caught up with the weekly release and it got a bit slow... But now it's picking up again.
And there's a disturbing amount of foresight in the plot, but since I don't want to ruin anything for anyone, I wont explain it. In fact, there is a fairly good reason given for the main characters intense powers and stuff, but not really and reason for anyone to have any powers at all. Apart from to get a story out of it.

It is. I believe fans prefer the manga over the anime. Personally, I like both, because I enjoy animated fight scenes, and not trying to play them out in my head. If an author puts too much effort in the drawing, I can't really follow the fight at all, and I end up skipping the chapter, sadly.

ya but the anime is still CRAPPY!!! and by the way the show is like DBZ i heard that when they made Bleach the guy who made it said DBZ inspired him and wanted to make a show like that so Bleach like i said before Bleach is a ripoff version of DBZ and Naruto.

it does have some original characters and ideas, but it follows the "formula" of DBZ and Naruto, having the exact same kinda story arcs and character developement (or lake of for that matter).

another trait of this "Formula" which has been used longer than we probably know, is that characters are based off of specific types of people or personalities, and because of that, they cannot "Progress" in "Character" because they would have to become a different person in order to do so. This is why very few characters in anime ever change, and why Vegeta and Piccolo are so well liked (they go through character development and become different people, and are thus complex and become interesting)
