He keeps very quiet while he's writing his books. That's probably a good thing considering it means he gets them done faster (kinda). He is taking a very long time to write this book but hey he does have a lot of loose ends that he needs to finish. The book will probably be huge.

I haven't heard anything but it makes sense that it will be called Empire.

I was pretty happy about who his father was.

My bet is the egg hatches for Arya. I'm also interested to see if Eragon ends up with either Arya or Nasuada.

Wow, I love these books so much! And yes, I too was completely blown away by Eragon's father. It was such a shock, you know?

And I don't want the egg to hatch for Roran. That would kind of ruin his character for me. He's meant to be the hard - working tactical genius who's ferocious in battle, while Eragon is supposed to be the great hope of Alagaesia. My favourite book was Eldest. I liked the fact that for alot of the book Eragon was crippled. He worked with such a problem and made the best of it. He really did deserve to be healed.

And Paolini is an amazing author. Being only very young and having that creativity and imagination is quite amazing. What will he be like when he's older? Alot of authors wrote books while they were "older." Such as C.S. Lewis, Stephen King, J.K. Rowling, J.R.R Tolkien, etc.

And they all wrote fiction classics. I love all four authors.

And lets not forget George Lucas! I mean he concieved of a totally awsum seerees, just like Paolini!

Actually, no, Lucas has the same ideas as Paolini, because the latter stole a ridiculous amount from the Star Wars films. No wonder he was able to write it so young; it required very little of his own imagination. He adapted one of the most successful and well known movie franchises to a fantasy setting - well done him for being a great marketer. He is not, however, a good writer.

His writing style is dreary, many of the characters are bland steroetypes for the fantasy genre, especially the dwarves, and most of his best ideas are just simple conversions of other peoples ideas. If we all had the spare time, publisher parents and the sheer audacityof Paolini, he'd be nothing special, and neither would his series.

If you're unsure, I used to love this series, but time, rereads and research have led to me having no time for these books, or their "writer".

Yeah, I know he did. But I still find his books entertaining. There are many simiarities. Let me list them.

Eragon, a teenage farm boy who doesn't live with his parents.
Luke Skywalker, a teenage farm boy who doesn't live with his parents.

Finds a "crazy" old man living close by, who ends up being a master and trains him.
*cough* *cough* Ben Kenobi *cough* *cough*

Eragon then becomes the hope of the world.
Just like Luke Skywalker becoming the hope of the universe.

Eragon, last of the Dragon Riders.
Luke Skywalker, last of the Jedi.

Arya, Elf Princess who was the person to bring the last Dragon Egg to a safe place.
Similar to Princess Leia bringing a message to Ben Kenobi.

Murtagh, Eragon's "father."
Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker's father.

But even though he did in fact, recieve a great deal of help from his parents, plus stealing alot of ideas from George Lucas, Christopher Paolini still invented his own plot twists, ideas and has the ability to create a perfect picture in your mind. He's not a bad author. He's a particularly good one, but he needs to be creative.
The blonde girl with the black lips turned to Valkyrie.

but eragon will always pwn Star Wars in a fight with Saphira on his side and all that magic plus the elven magin he learned in Elsemera, which means he could take their life away to add to his own power since they do not have wards around them, sicne they dont have magic in the that world of laser, and sith lords, and jedis

lol. However, they do have the force, light sabers, tanks, missiles and may I add huge numbers of troops with rapid firing weaponry. As we know, the wards tire out, along with Eragon. I wager 3 droid echas shooting for 10 seconds could have put his wards to an end hahaha. There's not even any lifeforce to be stolen from their deaths.

Lets not get off topic though, I don't think its fair to say the copying is legit provided that the successor can beat the original.

Don't want to be left out. How is this book for someone who's never read it? No bias now.

Ok, I'll from a non biased view, this is an interesting and engaging fantasy read. It comes across as more mature and serious in tone than your other typical popularist fantasy, but its not a difficult read. As a linear story is works well, and the three in print right now definately read well the first time. That's a promise. It's a worthwhile read.

Just try and bear in mind what I've said earlier, too. :innocent:
