I have just thought of a really good idea for the forums ... a DBZ TRIVIA BOT ...for those of you who have played warcraft 3 or starcraft you know what im talking about.. any ways its a bot that gives out different questions of dbz and the people that answer them get a better rank ... #1 being the best trivia answerer ... and there ranks will be recorded...thanks for reading my suggestion

I like it, definitely give you props but I'm not sure Zetaboards has such a code. I wouldn't think they had a specific DBZ one anyways

Zetaboards doesn't have that feature, other forums do and forums where the admin/owner has control over the files can also add it, but we don't. I don't know how possible it is for anyone to create a code like that which would use Zetaboards member list to record it.

It's possible to do it manually, though time-consuming. I don't know how to code anything like that and I'm not sure if anyone has, I can look around but I don't think there is one.

If you want to do one manually, that's fine, feel free to run it.

Isn't this partially the sort of thing the .org site can do??

Also what about if you created your own web page through zeta, you could put the coding in there. If someone wants to come up with the questions I could do some experimenting on my own forum and see if I can make it work. Though I am a little n00b with coding i've got a friend who could help me out with it.

Only thing I need to learn how to do is the log in thing. Perhaps you could ask Viral if the AIO has anything like that that could be linked in??

It would be quite a big project, if a large majority of members where willing to move (and the owner of this forum, wherever he is) then I could just turn the dbzf.org site into the forum allowing much more freedom. However this said, there aren't any free forums I can find that have trivia bots written for them.

The only thing close is this for phpBB 2.x

I don't have the money for IPB.

It is good idea Mike but it's one of those technical things the staff has to check out before considering.

Thank you for the contribution, Keep it up.

There's two different ways of doing it. One better than the other.
1: Using a database uploaded to a site that doesn't crash, I.E. payed for.
2: Hard coding each individual question and answer, and then coding the reward for getting it right. Also we are met with the problem of having a limited amount of questions, the lack of it being random, and the ease of gaining reward for there being a lack of it being random.

I would love to see you come up with something though.

I have a host with unlimited database and storage anyway, databases aren't a problem.
