Goku was on the run for his life, even at SSJ3. He did all he could just to escape. Gohan is the strongest individual character in all of the cannon DBZ universe. He's an idiot, a young fool who lacks discipline, but he's the strongest in sheer power. If you think otherwise, yeah. Too bad I guess. Akira's word is law.

When did I ever state I thought Goku was stronger than Gohan? Gohan is clearly much stronger however caught off guard I assume Goku could do some damage with a kamehameha.

I mean Cell was much more powerful than Goku when Goku hit him with the IT Kamehameha and if that much damage was dealt to Gohan, he couldn't regenerate. This was done to death in a topic a while back and it came to the conclusion that Gohan is slightly more powerful than Goku SSJ3. Mystic Gohan is basically Gohan at SSJ3. Elder Kai said he doesn't see the need for the golden hair and sparkly transformation (or something like that) so made it so that he doesn't have to transform.

I entirely hold your theory about Gohan's power being equal to SSJ3 as false in every way. Goku wasn't "much" weaker than Cell at his Perfect stage. Cell got a few chances to really test his power out with Goku. Fighters of equal strength to the user can actually deflect Kamehameha waves effortlessly. Far superior fighters like Gohan could take the hit, and Gohan would also expect it as he knows Goku's moves and strategies. Hell, he's seen it done for himself. Think about how outclassed Goku is in this contest. I'm talking, ruthless, one-sided comparison. Goku stands absolutely no chance whatsoever against fighters like Super Buu and Janemba. Google Chrome Favourite Manga DBZ, Full Metal Alchemist	Firstly Cell was a fair bit more powerful than Goku. There's a point during the fight that Goku is exhausted and Cell is barely out of breath. He then asks Goku if he wants to "Have one of your senzu...It'll make for a more entertaining battle." Basically implying that he could finish Goku off there and then, hardly breaking a sweat. Vegeta states that Goku is "brilliant" but Cell is "not one, but two steps ahead of him." Cell never tested his whole power during the fight. He didn't let out one extremely powerful blast (apart from a Kamehameha but he said he "knew (Goku) would move") and he was just having fun which he constantly reiterates. Also, the Kamehameha can surely be deflected only if you know it's coming. It would be impossible to deflect from point blank range in a split second, or else Cell would have done it. We can speculate that Gohan would know it was coming, but it was at least 7 years since Goku did it and in the heat of battle Gohan may have glossed over it. However I have lent the Buu saga manga out so don't have it to hand. If I get it back soon I'll look back to see whether I can find more quotes to back up my claim. However the quotes I have issued have debunked your only argument of Goku and Cell being pretty much equal. Edited by Mitas, Dec 4 2009, 10:33 AM.

Flareon	They're definitely not equal LOL I'm not sure if it sounded like that's the way I came off, but I certainly know Cell was stronger than FPSSJ Goku. I don't think he was leagues above him though. Cell has regenerative abilities that fortify his endurance. Naturally Goku would wear down and Cell would not. The only reason I made the statement about the Kamehameha is to prove how it can be handled by fighters of similar or greater power with ease at times. The problem with Goku using the "warp" Kamehameha is that he'd be toast much before he got the chance to. This is a form that requires a lot of energy to begin with. Think about the double-negative here. A guy using an all-or-nothing form like that, against an opponent he still doesn't even stand a chance against? I -DON'T- see how this is a comparison. As stated before, Gohan is not only stronger, but I'd even say he's a god in comparison. He handled a far greater warrior than Goku like nada.
