Personally, music has a great importance for me. I am listening to it a lot of the time that I spend on my own, so I feel a sort of afinity to the music I listen to (sounds a little cheesy but true :P). For me it is mainly the lyrics that I connect with, but obviously the music that accompanies it has an enormous effect on the tone of the record. Because I listen to a lot of rap, and for me the lyrics of rap are more accessible than songs, I can relate to the struggles some of them rap about e.g. their family, upbringing, issues in the world and other subjects. However I listen to bands and soundtrack music which I also enjoy and feel is important to me. I enjoy writing and listen to tracks that act as inspiration and trigger scenes and emotions in my head (which I think is amazing). There are songs that I listen to because I know they'll cheer me up and I'm sure that if I wanted to then I coul easily find songs that would make me feel sad, angry etc. What do you use music for? And how much importance do you place on music in your life? |

I think music is great for remembering past events. Sometimes i'll hear a song and remember something that i've completely forgotten about. Like the song Give it up to me~by Sean Paul reminds me of a girl i use to talk to on MSN, the song Slow Wind~By R. Kelly reminds me of when i first god photoshop because i use to listen to that song all the time when using it. |

Your right I'm a murderer; i kill people with a smile on my face, my parents say "what a disgrace" "get outta my face"...yet I walk away...with a smile on my face "If tall guys have this mystical advantage in jumping, then why to the tallest players in the NBA have the lowest verticals? Yao Ming can't jump over an egg roll" -it's so funny i had to put it in my sig

Music is very important to me, among other reasons, for helping me write. The genre, the beat, the lyrics of a song can create a character for me, a scene, a place, a plotline, an atmosphere, anything. I've lost count of the number of characters and actions in stories I've written that are based on a song I've heard. That's just one reason for why music is important to me, and probably a few others. |
![]() Thanks to AngelicHottieDS for the sig - I owe you one! ...And it feels so good to be Alive and on top My reach is global My tower secure My cause is noble My power is pure I can hand out a million vaccinations Or let'em all die in exasperation Have'em all healed of their lacerations Or have'em all killed by assassination...

I love music; listening to it, playing instruments, trying to write my own stuff (I should note that I fail 100% of the time...), anything.I love hearing other people covers of my favourite songs on YouTube, especially on weird instruments. I couldn't live without music. There's hardly a time when I don't have my iPod on me. Music just.... It's an ecape. It give me an oppurtunity to experience thing I may never experience, it creates emotion, passes on ideals, brings things to my attention. It's all I need, really. Sod human contact, all I need for the next 60 years is a guitar and a drum kit.

Can't be bothered changing the Alex one. Here's the Bioshock one again instead.

If I Could, Would You?

You wouldn't make it half a year. It's vitally important that you don't get too attatched to music or you become INCREDIBLY anti-social, no matter how much you love music. If you don't have human contact you become lonely and feel like ***** all the time, which in some cases the music doesn't help with. I do love my music, mostly alternative/punk/rock and I sometimes wish that music actually played at specific moments of my life because it captures moods so well. If I run out of music to listen to it makes me sad, but I find something new and i move on. I play the guitar but I wish i could play the drums and piano and all manner of other instruments. I wish I could sing too, but at the moment I'll focus on my guitar and band activity. I too think my iPod is essential for any travelling because its the best way to kill time if you're on your own, but if you're with people then its a no-no. I intend to write my own songs, record those songs, start a band, write and record more songs, even if I never ever get publicity for it, I really want to do it. |

Music is important to me. It helps create mood, atmosphere, and makes boring everyday silence into not-so-boring music time. Also, everything needs a theme song. EVERYTHING. |
