I sort of agree with that, I've been in some situations where the very thing you said is just outright true. Although, I strongly disagree with people that try to "self cure" themselves, if you do that then you're only signing your death warrant. I've seen this first hand as well and it's not a pretty sight to behold.

I call bull*****.
First off spanking a child does not change who they become as an adult. We see this because two adults can act on a same maturity level with different childhood backgrounds, (one being spanked and one not.) Point, who you become in adulthood has little to do with spanking. Also Spanking does not change the fact that the kid has a hard time not jumping from one thing to another and twitching non-stop. If you've studied any type of neuro science at all, even at the basic level, you'd know that spanking a child is not going to keep their synapses from firing repetitively making them move almost uncontrollably.

Not all disorders are serious or life threatening. These are psychological disorders we are talking about. ADHD is by far not life threatening. Depression, schizophrenia, and others can be. You need to understand that clumping butt whoopings with certain disorder backgrounds can be a disaster. If i have to explain this further then I think you aren't quite understanding cause and effect.

I suggest in the future really thinking out your responses before posting. What you just said can be viewed as offensive.

Dyspraxia is a disorder than can cause someone a lot of problems.

Smaking a child doesn't solve much, infact it can cause futher psycological damange in future depending on the person, I was smacked a few times as a child, many things just for making a small mistake, my dad got a bit worked up about things being wrong, getting older, I have had a fear of getting things wrong incase I got hurt, I also freeze in fear when I hear people shouting, so a smack is quite counter-productive for child development.

I'm saying a unrulely child that continues to get into trouble should not be given a cop out by claim she/he has ADHD. Many doctors miss dignoise children by saying they have ADHD, when in fact alot do not have. As for the other disorders I wasn't refering to them. I'm mainly directing my attention to the ADHD disorder.

Interesting, Brian. I had never heard of that disorder before. I googled it and found out that someone who suffers from hypomania tends to be on an irritable mood often. Do you feel like that?

Doctors DO NOT misdiagnose ADHD. Have you ever met a person with ADHD? I know adults with ADHD. They literally can not focus on one thing for more than a minute. It's impossible to misdiagnose that disorder.

I wonder if you even know what you are talking about.

I only ever feel irritable when things aren't going well in my relationship. Other than that, I'd actually consider myself a fairly happy person. I love to be around mature people with good senses of humor, (my friends) and I often find myself talking quite often, playing around with them, and just cutting up.

Well, when things aren't going good in the relationship department however, I do feel pretty damn irritable/awful. I've strongly considered suicide before. Once, I got in my car for the sole reason of suicidal purposes, but I gathered myself. It scared the hell out of me, so I've tried to wonder away from such thoughts ever since.

Generally, the stipulation goes as follows: When things are good, they are magnificent, and when they are not, they are horrid. I feel like my emotions and thoughts are amplified, based on my inability to avoid analyzing things to the fullest. This is both a blessing and a curse, due to the fact that it fortifies creativity and innovation, (increasing chances of success) but also may lead to depression (based on deep thought processing).

Do you manage okay? How's your social life?
Having Bipolar/Manic Depression, life can be easy to manage but at times the hardest thing to manage.

When things are going good and normal for me, I suddenly go self-destructive and do irrational things. I leave paths of hurt for myself and others behind, by my ... how can I put it....spontaneous behaviour. I'll act out so irrationally and just go and run away from everything physically and emotionally, when there is no reason to run away.

But, when things are going bad and need fixing, I excel in that and succeed and turn out everything better twice than before.

Its weird. But yeah, now that i'm well medicated and older, life is easier to manage. At one point, it was near ending. :(

Well I'm glad to hear things are working out better for you. My father has Bipolar Disorder. It's cost him heavily. He's been living on the streets for years. I barely know the guy, actually.
