Well. I spoke with my doctor. He has reason to believe that I am indeed a hypomaniac. I just, felt like sharing that I guess... I'm unsure what this means for me, exactly. It seems strange to have a mental disorder. |

Honestly, I can't say I'm supprised, I kind of guessed you had a mental illness, it's just not polite to ask. Though, being in America, you have to pay for treatment don't you? |

Do you know what Hypomania is? It's honestly not that big of a deal and it shouldn't really impede your life at all. In short, it pretty much means that you're a really energetic and out going person, just more than the average person. All in all I would say don't worry about it, if it hasn't caused you problems before than it shouldn't cause you problems now. :3 Edited by SlyStrife, Nov 4 2009, 03:32 PM.

It's caused me problems in my relationship. With it, comes a bold and audacious ability to face the truth and come to strict conclusion of the facts at hand. It's quite intimidating to people who become uncomfortable under pressure, and unfortunately, I take my relationship very seriously. There have been a ton of problems recently because of it. Aside from that, I see it as something I can overlook. |

It's not serious in the snese that you can still function, unlike bi-polor disorder or some other related illnesses, it's a lesser form of mania, like mild depression is far less serious than major depression, mild depression will cause problems but won't prevent someone from doing things. |

From reading the wiki page and an article on it, it does seem to have more positives then negatives. Possible dangerous over-confidence is really the only down side from what I gather. Not a bad trade off at all for the positives you get from it. |

I suffer from bad Bipolar. I've been hospitalized four times since 16, now 21. But I also have manic depression, which is coordinated with my bipolar. |

My doctor said I have a mild case of bi-polar disorder and when I was younger I suffered from severe depression. Two of my friends as well as my brother all suffer from Asperger Syndrome which is commonly coupled with autism. (I also might have a mild case of it). My life has been pretty good lately and my disorders haven't really affected it too much. The only time it really got me in trouble was when I was trying to get my first job. Boy do I never want to be in a situation like that again.... |

I think the docters are *****ing stupid. They come up with these disorders just so they can make money of you. You will end up paying countless hundreds to thousnds of bucks on medicine. |
