How often do you lie in real life?

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I lie sometimes, but no more than most people do. And I do agree that everybody lies. For example, I bet you don't answer the complete truth when somebody asks how you are. 90~% of the time you're going to say "fine" when in fact you aren't. These are only little lies that affect you more than they do the person you're lying to, which I think is fine.

"Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is."

I'll be by your side whenever you fall in the dead of night.

I hate lying, and i rarely do. And i hate BEING lied to as well. Can't really think of a situation of when i would "have" to lie, but i'm sure they've happened.

Do you think leaving out part of the whole truth is lying? I've heard it called a "lie of omission".

I miss the sound of your voice
And I miss the rush of your skin
And I miss the still of the silence
As you breathe out and I breathe in
If I could walk on water
If I could tell you what's next
I'd make you believe
I'd make you forget

I don't class it as lying, there are some personal things people are going to be reluctant to share and don't want to lie.
