Hello Everyone!

I am an intense Dragonball Z fan and love the show! I have almost all of the DVD's of funimations original set. I am wondering if I should just finish off buying the 2 or 3 DVD's I need to complete the whole set or should I go for the Remastered Uncut DVD sets? I have heard that the image has been cleared up immensely and the sound quality has greatly been improved.

However, I have heard that they cropped out images. Is it still worth the $20 to buy them each? I have never ever seen the Uncut version with all of the swearing, blood and guts before.

Is the Uncut version true to its saying? Does it really have swearing in it, blood and guts?

If you think I should buy the 2-3 DVD's I need to complete the original funimations set, and buy the Uncut Remastered sets, please voice your opinion.

I have read many reviews and have read that people have really liked the Uncut Remastered and some didn't. Please let me know! :)

Thanks for your quick responses! :)

Signature Regulations

20. You may only have 2 signature banners in your signature area.
The height may not be more than 250 pixels. and the length no more than 450.
Signature banners with a file size of more than 150 KB will be deleted. (see request/show off area for resizing and file type help.) BMP images aren't allowed.
If you have animations in your sig area, that is fine, and is not covered under the banner regulations of 2 per person. Large gif files are not allowed. If the gif animation is larger than 200 KB then it will be deleted. The amount of space we provide you in the signature area is your limitations. Work with it. It will not be changed unless petitioned.

i think you should just wait ad buy the Dragon Box DVDs's that are coming out in mid November. That set is pretty much the best retail version of DBZ that you can get. Also you're right, they did crop out the images in the remastered set and they also filtered it so much that some of the details in some scenes were completely removed. Ultimately it's up tp you but I personally really want the Dragon Box set.

I think you should get the few you're missing, not get these box sets. I've NEVER heard any swearing in this show in English, the closest thing is that they say 'damn' instead of 'darn'.
I don't like that it's in widescreen, probably because I don't have a widescreen TV so I'm losing picture off the top and bottom and missing out on the extra stuff on the sides >_<
The thing I dislike most about these sets are the opening and closing songs, they're not the ones I used to watch on TV..I love those ones. That's probably not a big deal for most people though :p

DragonBall Z Remastered on DVD is really good. I love the coloring of it. It also has some swear words in season 1, 2 and 3.
