Cell would win easily. If you look at the levels of Android that fought I think it's obvious. It took Vegeta most of his energy to beat Android 19 but he did it with ease. Android 18 clearly demolished Vegeta at that point so we know Frieza is already weaker than the Androids. I think Cell was definitely a little more powerful than 17 and 18 so Cell in his first form would win, no doubt

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

Cell first form before absorbing all the humans was weaker than 17 and 18. However, Cell would easily win, even if he didn't have a gigantic power advantage, he can still regenerate, which Freeza cannot.

Cell wins for sure, he has more power than a super saiyan(for example Trunks in the begining of android saga), and super saiyan Trunks defeated Mecha Frieza(who's stronger than final form Frieza) without much trying. So when you sum it up:

Cell 1st form > Trunks ssj >> Frieza final form

Conclusion:

Cell 1st form >>> Frieza final form

Cell killed Trunks with a sneak attack, he didn't beat him in a fight. Trunks didn't get a chance to go ssj either.

If we're talking about Cell right after he evolved from his larval state, and before he absorbed anyone, I think it would be a pretty good fight, power-wise. But like NeciFiX said Cell can regenerate, so I think that would clinch it for him. Plus he has a much larger arsenal of techniques.

I never mentioned that, I didn't even think of Cell's sneak attack on Trunks in alternate time line. It was stated that Cell, before he absorbed humans, was just a bit weaker than the Androids. And, remember, Andorid 17 trashed Trunks ssj in one punch. So, even if Cell without absorbing humans was weaker than Android 17, I really don't see how can he be all that weaker for Trunks ssj to actually put some damage in him. I would say that Trunks ssj would be blown away by Cell pretty easy. And since Trunks ssj defeated Mecha Frieza in a flash, it is pretty obvious that Cell would TOTALLY TRASH Frieza's final form without even trying.

Where was it stated that Cell (pre human absorbtion) was only a little weaker than the Androids? I don't remember that in the anime or the manga. In fact, I don't think anything was stated or even inferred about Cell's initial post-hatching power. The only fight we have for reference pertaining to early Cell when he killed the alternate Trunks, and not only was it a sneak attack, but he had also already absorbed most of the remaining human population by then.

None of this actually matters. We all know that Cell would win this because of obvious reasons.

I agree. The point I was trying to make was that Cell probably wouldn't just blow Frieza away without even trying. IMO it would be a better fight than most people think, but as I said before Cell just has way too many advantages over Frieza, the difference in power notwithstanding.
