Its wrong in my mind, when someone does not want to talk about whatever there is just wrong and in the end it shows a lack of trust for there partner. Going to the extremehere but I remember a report on the radio that people, (mostly women), where hiring private investigators to spy on them. If that ever happened to me I would be very angy and say to my partner "sorry this is not working" and leave them. It may sound mean but if they can't trust me then I can't trust them. |

Woah, hey now. Hiring spies is a bit of a bigger deal than just checking emails or asking questions. If anybody's hiring spies, there's definitely something strange going on in the first place. |

When taken to that extent, I would say it's wrong then. Otherwise, it's only something people do to feel safer and more reassured about the person they're with. I see nothing wrong with doing something sneaky yet harmless to ease one's anxiety.

Hiring Private Investigators is way too extreme and any relationship where that happens will not work; if they find something then the relationship is over, if they don't then the person has some serious paranoia and trust issues and the other person will most likely feel their trust has been violated to the extreme and I can't see them staying around. I'd like to see the success figures of the investiators, how may of them actually find something. |

Pretty high I'm guessing. When you are to the point of hiring someone to spy on your partner, you must be pretty sure they are doing something behind your back. There's no point in being in a relationship if you have to hire one. |
