I haven't watched Dragonball in a while I do have seasons 1 thorough 4 so i could watch it but the dvds arent with me at the moment so I cant really do it. So my question is, it is never revealed the name of Frieza's species right? They never really speak about it. Just simpy that he is a feared monster but nothing else am I correct? I know it may sound like a random question but I have reasons for asking it |

As far as I know it's never said what his species are called, but fans have invented the name "Changeling", due to them being able to change their body by transformation. |

i think i read something somewhere that his race is changeling or something like that, but thats probably not the correct name. |

Thats the thing that is dissapointing about Frieza. He is by far and away the strongest being out there (at this point in the series) and yet nothing is revealed about him. Ginyu is his strongest warrior topping out at 120,000, Frieza in his first form crazily is massively greater at a PL of 530,000. Huge difference. Why though? I often wondered is he the only one in his race, why is he so strong, is he an anonamly? What gave him so much might? Its only when he arrives with King Kold that we get to see that their is more of his race and he is almost as strong a Frieza. Frieza reveals little details about himself during his fight with Goku, lines like 'only my parents have put a speck of dust on my body'. Thats all we get. |

He's not the only one of his race, remember his father. I've heard people say his father is stronger than him too. Which is pure stupidity, neglecting the fact that his father was in 2nd form and he was mecha. and Neglecting also the fact that Frieza was the strongest person in universe, which includes his father.

i suppose cooler isnt canon.. apparently freeza has a mother, if he said "my parentS were the only ones to put a speck of dust on me" parents = plural. i heard that their "fourth form", is their natural form, and freeza actually reverted down to his first form to supress his power |

Just because King Cold looked like Frieza's second form, doesn't mean King Cold himself was in his second form. It was probably his natural form. Remember, Frieza's 4th form is his true body, the one he was born in. His other forms were created by himself in order to make his power easier to control. Keeping that in mind, if Frieza had some sort of control over what his created forms looked like, he possibly modelled his second form after his father. Edited by Psyam, Sep 21 2009, 10:23 PM.

Changeling wasn't a fan made name, changeling actually means to change or whatever, as stated by Akira Toriyama. Anyways, in Toriyama's Daizenshuu and in multiple QnA's he describes them as Reptilian Aliens/Insects but wasn't much specific. |

there seemed to be somewhat of a trend with some of his villians. both Frieza and Cell were lizard like insect alien looking things, and had a few similar features. Hirudigarn later was yet another insect thing, and it's funny how all of his "alien" looking things had sections of pink or yellow with horizontal lines across, including sayian armor. Frieza's race, though refered to as changelings, was never really explained upon. normally, a race of "changelings" would constitute a race of "shapeshifters" or even "Dopplegangers", maybe even things without an inherent form. I didn't think it was a very fitting name for his race. |

I found this on wiki Frieza's design is an amalgamation of what Toriyama thought monsters looked like in his childhood. And a fan has called it the Icer race. Which seems more canon than just simply Changeling. http://cosmictrunks.www.50megs.com/IcerianLife.html But Fictional ntl. |

Just like people have said, it's not said what Frieza's race is, but we do know he has a race and there are more of him out there. What I wanted to know is why frieza's race didn't avenge him? I'm sure his hatred of the saiyans was equally distributed to his race. |
