Since you can discuss DBGT here, I decided to bring this little topic up. Is it possible that Vegeta reached SS3 in GT? When Vegeta is pocessed by Baby, after a while, Baby Vegeta transforms into Super Baby. Super Baby has no eye brows like a SS3 and his hair got slightly longer (he might have had SS3 Goku's hair, but Baby shaped his hair so it would look 'more like a tuffle) Also, he had enough power to withstand a punch from SS3 Goku. This would explain why Vegeta could last against SS4 Goku. However, the power difference between SS3 and SS4 would explain why Vegeta was completely dominated. Its possible but then why didn't he use it like when he was going up against super 17? |

I don't know. He beat Hell fighter 17 in his base form, so when the two 17s fused, Vegeta probably thought that it wasn't much of a power boost. So, he probably thought that he could beat Super 17 just by using Super Saiyan. But, we never actually see Vegeta fight Super 17. he just uses a final shine attack that proves to be useless and than Goku arrives. If Vegeta actually got to fight, he would probably use SS3 if he could transform. |

Yeah, it's possible. I've heard about this theory before. Baby Vegeta had pretty much every trait of a Super Saiyan 3 in his 3rd form, apart from the extra long hair. Baby possessing Vegeta might of changed the appearance of his Super Saiyan 3 form a little, or like you said Buu, Baby might of modelled Vegeta's body. It's certainly an interesting theory. I think Vegeta would of reached SSJ3 himself sooner or later, anyway. In my mind he probably already had it by the end of DBZ, after the 10 year gap. The only reason Goku got it first was because he could put unlimited energy into the transformation in Other World. Eventually, Vegeta's Ki would of got to the point where he could transform into it while alive. So Baby Vegeta being SSJ3 is quite believable. |

SSJ3 Vegeta has only been seen (sorta) in baby vegeta form. maybe. And since baby is fused with vegeta, i think its a bit of a power boost, similar to majin vegeta. So normal SSJ3 vegeta i think would be at like kid goku SSJ3 level, maybe... I wanna say its only at SSj kid goku's level though, because of how ridiculously strong goku is in GT (he fought Goten and Gohan SSJ2 for cryin out loud). I bet vegeta could have achieved it in the timeskip. if goku can get to SSJ2 AND SSJ3 in just 7 years, vegeta could probably ascend from SSJ2 rto SSJ3 in over ten years. Remember, at the end of dragonball Z, that was ten years later when we met Oob. Pan was only four years old. If i remember correctly, Pan was 14 in DBGT, which would mean the Z-GT timeskip is a whopping 20 years (wtf?) plenty of time for vegeta to achieve this form. but he never used it or mentioned it which makes me think it doesnt exist. heck, bulma even mentioned that goku or vegeta could go SSJ5 for some reason, but nothing about SSJ3 Vegeta. |

I assume he could go SSJ3. I just think by the time they had him planned to be ssj 3 it wasn't as needed as much anymore since base level kid goku in GT could whip all sorts of booty |

But in the episode where Bulma is building a blutz wave transmitter to help Vegeta go SSJ 4, Vegeta has a flash back moment reminding himself of the massive power gap between himself and Goku. If Vegeta was SSJ 3 opposed to SSJ 2 then I don't think he would have been so concerned with a 1 level difference. I think he would have just starting training harder to get to SSJ 4 like he did with SSJ 2 in the cell saga. Plus i'm pretty sure it had something to do with all the blutz waves, I'm pretty sure that bulma was using them to power up Baby Vegeta the whole time during his fight with Goku. |

Yeah but don't forget Goku was able to go SSJ3 before Vegeta to go SSJ2 I believe. Just achieving the level doesn't make you as strong as them. Goku up until that point was able to go to SSJ for what 10+ years, and he had all that unlimited training in other world for seven years which put him leagues a head of Vegeta who was restricted to training in the real world. |

Vegeta could probably go SSJ3. I doubt he had the ki required for such a beastly, energy draining state like SSJ3 against Super 17 after underestimating him and getting that ***** whipped though. Funny. After getting completely shut out, he still stands back up and announces the comeback, "...and I admire your ability, to die!" (followed up by a ki blast) |

Goku learned both the SSJ2 and SSJ3 transformations in 7 years, Vegeta could definately figure out the transformation in the 10 year time skip at the end of DBZ. |

I recently discovered that ssj3 Vegeta will in fact be a playable character in Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, the upcoming Tenkaichi-styled game. And ssj3 Broly will be available as well. |
