I really really hate Disney. I will soon start disliking Marvel.

God I really hate this kind of bull*****. This shouldn't happen. I don't believe for one minute that Walt would've wanted this. Marvel is definitely going downhill from now on, I don't care what kind of new ideas and futures they make for the character. Disney is not supposed to be a Company based on any material other than G and PG rating content. Lately it's just getting worse from the shows. This deal is not worth 4 Billion, Bob needs to stick to what Disney was made from. I wonder if Roy Disney had anything to say about this. Now we won't know how IRON MAN 2 or CAPTAIN AMERICA would've been. You can forget Thor or and other comic movie plans they had. If Disney only owns Marvel and doesn't meddle in it's infrastructure of how they make the movies and who they use then only then can I see anything good from this. With more money Marvel comics can be good but that won't happen. I know I'm pretty much rambling in different directions but this news is not right. It's *****.

Thanks goodness we still have Warner Bros. and DC Comics, but it still not the same.

The idiots that made that deal must have been soooo desperate for money. But look at it this way:

We've had 3 X-Men Films, 3 Spiderman films and they were good enough, but.. the Hulk movies already sucked.. and so do the Fantastic 4 movies. Marvel still get to release their Captain America movie without any Disney influence at least. If Disney have any sense they'll keep Marvel the way they are, and if Marvel has any integrity they'll try not to be too much of a ***** to Disney's idiotic decisions, that end up with poor movie income.

this could be good, if Disney doesn't try to change the source material of Marvel and instead just borrows the writters. Disney will make more Mature edgy content, but that doesn't mean it will be rated pg13 or R. If they start making stuff like, movies with similar action and plot devices and stuff as Kingdom Hearts and stuff, every teenager would appreciate it and think it's cool, except for the sick minded that only like blood and guts, who don't care for marvel movies to much as it is. I just hope they don't constrict Marvel and their goals, because that would be unfair to the writers who have worked on future projects for years.

I don't think it was disney's intention to change marvel, because they wanted to tap into their revenue, and changeing it would destroy the marvel fan base. it would be more foolish for them to change marvel than it was for nintendo to sell Rare to microsoft.

I recently heard that Disney was after Marvel for the past few years. You know Disney came a long way when they bought the largest comic enterprise in the world. I quickly read Temhpis' post, I can just picture a KH4 game with the likes of sora, goofy and spiderman!

What I believe will happen is that disney will make some cartoons for little kids maybe like Spider-man meets Mickey Mouse and stuff like that, but they will also make some for teens. I'm not afraid cause I know disney makes Pg-13 movies like pirates of the caribbean which I liked all three of them. so I doubt any huge changes will be made, perhaps just new things for kids. I'd love to see the next kingdom Hearts with marvel characters would actually refresh the game some more

my friend has studied this and told me Disney has bought marvel for two primary reasons. the first, is to help Marvel produce it's movies and protect them from developers that might want to change them from what they are ment to be. for this reason, Disney is striving desperately to buy back the rights to the X-men movies from Paramount Pictures, so we never see another "X-Men 3 last stand" again. They want Marvel to do what they do, and to do it right, in a nut shell. in other words, this is a very very good thing, for everyone except for the movie producers that wanted a piece of Marvel's income.

the other thing they wanted to do, was make movies that appeal to today's audience and society, just like they used to back in 1970, where both children and their parents are excited for every disney movie that comes out. they will be using Marvel as a source for what sells to a wide variety of people today. in other words, Disney movies should be very awesome for everyone now.

conclusion: Disney buying marvel is a very good thing.

BTW, DC comics will now have their own movie making department, and will be making all the upcoming DC movies, though I don't know too much on this, like who is funding them and all. it's called "D.C. Entertainment". thats about all I know.
