This seems like an interesting fight. They are both warriors that dominated Goku. It is also interesting to note that Slug dies in a similar manner to Turles in the previous movie, The Tree of Might. Both are hit with a Spirit Bomb from Goku, knocking them into the device they used to "modify" the Earth, destroying both villain and device and returning Earth to normal. Before you post, please read below for power levels so that you can have as much knowledge on the subject as possible.

It was stated by Turles himself that Goku had a power level of roughly 30,000. A battle ensued with the two being roughly equal with Goku gaining a slight edge, which meant that Turles' power level was comparable to 30,000. After eating a piece of fruit from the Tree of Might, Turles' power level increased dramatically. Goku then multiplied his Kaio-ken by tenfold to try and match him, but Turles defeated Goku's Kaioken x10 with ease. Goku's power level was roughly 300,000 when he used the Kaio-ken x10. If Turles was able to defeat that with ease, this would possibly put Turles at a level to where he could rival that of Frieza in his first form, who had a confirmed power level of 530,000.

Now, for Slug. I watched the movie a few weeks ago in Japanese (it had subtitles) because I didn't have the english version. So, as I watched, King Kai said something very important in the Japanese version (maybe it's in the english version too). King Kai says that when Slug transformed, his power was even greater than Frieza's. He was obviously reffering to 1st form because final form would have killed Goku in one blow at that time. That, and the fact that nobody ever really saw Frieza's transformations, except on Namek.
So, with this information, we could place his power level around 540,000-600,000.

Power levels
Turles: around 530,000
Slug: around 540,000-600,000
interesting......

Another thing to consider is techniques, personality (eg. if they get too cocky when they're about to win), size (size can be an advantage, but it can also be a disadvantage. It can make you clusmy and a bigger target if you're slug. If you are small like Turles, it means that you can easily be crushed by Slug's foot), power, etc.

I think we've had this one before a long time ago, but I'm not going to go to deep into it, and just leave it for other people.

All I will say is that Slug being a Giant would be more of a disadvantage then an advantage.

This is quite clearly shown in Dragonball, when Piccolo, having found himself equal to Goku, grows in size and trys to beat Goku that way. The tactic fails miserably and Piccolo is forced to revert to his normal size after the transformation is proved useless. That, combined with the fact Piccolo never used the transformation again (apart from in filler against Garlic Jr, if I recall), leads me to beileve it really does have huge drawbacks.

For those reasons, and the fact that Slug couldn't hope to rival Turles in his untransformed state, I think Turles would take this, even if he was somewhat weaker. Slug's size would be his downfall.

Oh...not to mention Turles could just transform into a Great Ape. Then they'd be equal size and Turles would be a hell of a lot stronger. But I suppose that wouldn't be as interesting so I'll leave it out.

Totally agree Psyam, Turles would take this, I think based on OP that Slug probably would be a bit more powerful, but I dont thik that it would be a big enough difference. Turles was shown to be a Sayian warrior, which means he actually knows how to fight well. If I recall Slug wasnt a very talented fighter and was somewhat a brawler and was using his size advantage. (if memory serves) so, very small gap in power + huge gap in skill = Turles wins.

Well, everything seems to be pointed out, but I'd like to give another reason to add with you guys as to why I believe Turles would win. That Kill Driver attack. Man. I thought that seemed super powerful, and most definitely unavoidable. I think it would help Turles defeat him. Slug doesn't really have any reliable moves like Turles does. I agree when you all say that Turles is the honed fighter. Slug was elderly, and out of fighting condition (of course lacking intense training over the years, pre-elderly age or not). Turles of course, is a saiyan that probably trains as a saiyan would, and we can assume that's quite a bit. It's obvious why Turles is the better fighter, and even more obvious who has the deadliest technique.
