My top 3 have probably gotta be if I have to choose 3- Jimmy Coates: Killer by Joe Craig (cousin of Daniel Craig, who is incidentally from the area/borough where I used to live). Great action sorta sci-fi-ey but not like star wars, bout a boy who starts gettin chased by men in black suits and then starts doing random things that he shouldnt be able to do, kinda like in the bourne supremacy, or like gohan randomly saving himself from harm or getting a short burst of unknown power. Followed up by a few sequels, which if anything get better than the first which I loved a few years ago. The Saga of Darren Shan by Darren Shan, but it really picks up after the 3rd book-after the 2nd I mean. Profit Over People by Noam Chomsky-bout free trade, imperialism and stuff. Non-fiction. I don't really read any fiction anymore-it's been about 2 years. Maybe I should go back. |

1: The First Chronicles of Druss the Legend- (the late) David A Gemmell - fantasy/heroic/ action 2: Blood Crazy- Simon Clark- Post-apocalyptic modern horror 3: A Darkness at Sethanon (3rd in series of 1st saga)- Raymond E Feist - fantasy/ action/ magic Off the top of my head, 1st two for sure then after that it really is hard to pick but i remember Sethanon book had some truly brilliant visuals and scenarios that literally took your breath away. Epic |

Spider-Man: Secret of the Sinister Six. It's the only Spider-Man novel I've ever seen The Death of Superman: Novelization of the whole Doomsday/Reign of the Supermen arcs And TWILIGHT! ... Hehe. You should see the looks on your faces. But seriously, aside from the two up top, I read a lot of Star Trek novels. And Xanth. Can't forget Xanth. There's a possibility that I may be a bit of a geek. |

Probably... 1. Code Orange - Got it at a book fair when I was about 8 years old and it was one of the first books I read (excluding ones that were <100 pages, and ones that I had to read for school) and enjoyed. The story is a little far-fetched, but it's very entertaining and has many plot elements added. 2. Cold Sassy Tree - No, it's not about a talking tree. Someone's about to call me a pussy for liking that book, but I did. It was pretty entertaining to me most of the time. I had to read it about a year ago for school and actually didn't mind doing so. 3. The Fall of Reach - One of the few books I seriously did not want to put down. I'm a Halo fan, but not a huge reading fan, however I legitimately enjoyed that book. |

Well for me it would definitely have to be Ender's Game. It's really good! Pretty hard to understand though. Then the Hunger Games. It's soon to be coming out in 2012 as a movie. But the studio will most likely leave out the gruesome parts like they always do. ;( |

I like your taste In ascending quality: (I wanted to say worst to best, but these are all too great) 3.) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, by J.K. Rowling An amazing end to an amazing series. Everything from the last three books ties together for one amazing climax, and this one stands out particularly as the protaganists do not spend most of their time in Hogwarts as in the previous six books. Lots of secrets are revealed, the concept of death is explored, and the final showdown happens 2.) The Giver, by Lois Lowry A relatively short book, but amazing nonetheless. In what is set vaguely in the future, Jonas lives in the Community, where everyone is equal, jobs are fairly assigned to citizens when they turn twelve, everyone lives with their nuclear families until they start their own nuclear family, and danger, crime, and poverty are nonexistent, and are not even known about. That is, until Jonas is assigned the job of The Receiver of Memories 3.) The Saga of Darren Shan, by Darren Shan This was a toss up between the Demonata and this, but I chose this. At the very basics, it's a vampire saga. However, it is much more than that. Have you ever heard of the literary trope Chekhov's gun? Imagine this, on drugs, sprinkled in with plot twists, characterization, hero to villain, and the Desmond Tiny who did it all. Edited by Nimbo-Bimbo lord of all noobs, Mar 22 2012, 11:30 PM.
