What did you guys (the ones who watched the movie) think about the six movie of the Harry Potter movies, "Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince"? It was okay for me, not what I expected though. I'd give a 9/10.

8.5

It has the best of all the Potter movies in one, though not the best Potter movie. If that makes sense.

It's good that the actor who portays Draco Malfoy actually had much bigger role than he did the previous films.

Yeah, but his part was still dwarf'd by that of Ginny, even though she was mentioned about 12 times in the book. 2 hours and 20 minutes? It felt like it took me that long to watch a 30 minute film., the substance was spread out so thin. I was really, really disappointed by this film, since the book was my favourite HP novel. The galling thing is, the problem wasn't that there wasn't enough time to cram stuff in. They probably could have, if they tried, like they did with the Order of the Phoenix. Instead the took the basic plot to Harry Potter, and then had all the cast act out the deleted scenes from Skins for about half of it. 4/10

I recall Ginny being listed just as much as Draco in the book, though she wasn't as "important" to the plot as Draco (I use quotes because while romance isn't apart of the main plot, it's still important for character development).

I really can't remember her being that prominent in the book, but you may be right, I may have just not noticed. I do, however, remember that there was a general feeling that Rowling didn't portray the romance at all well in the book, as Ginny spoke very seldom, even during the times when she was present. Only when her and Hary were left alone did she speak much, and that didn't really happen that much. Sorry, I may be wrong, I don't really want to argue about it, I just thought it was wierd that they edited a story whilst the general consensus was that they should keep the films like the books.

Also, did anyone else feel a bit confused that they put Fenrir Greyback in the film, but he never speaks, he isn't revealed to be a werewolf (in fact, he's the werewolf that made Lupin a werewolf) and isn't even too acknowledged? He was just a tall hairy man that followed Bellatrix around. Btw, Bellatrix Lestrange remains one of the greatest Harry Potter characters ever.

Now that I think about it, you're right. She seldom spoke in the book, though her presence was still important.

And I was confused at Greyback's inclusion. He was featured in some of the promotional stuff, but his name isn't revealed, what he is isn't explained. And yet, he's still there. (Also, Greyback's attacking Bill is excluded, but Bill being scarred in the next movie will still be there. I'm interested in how they'll explain it)

They have a wanted poster for fenrir, but not explaining his character isn't too important he's not too critical towards the big story. In the end it doesn't matter who Lu[in got bit by anyways plays no role really. As for the romance well Hollywood saw their opening to finally have romance in a Harry Potter movie and they took it, I thought they did it pretty good actually. No book to movie translation is ever the same so changes are always expected but as long as the movie remains good I'll be happy about it. Only thing I think they could have done is add more battle in the end like it did in the book, but oh well I'm not going to complain since I did love the movie

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. She was the best character in it. Bellatrix Lestrange is just crazy, in a good/hatable way. Carter portrays her brilliantly.
