A lot of things he did on movies was things he could do in real life. Weather you think someone has a good point or not is not what matters, what matters is you are speaking to people like they are crap and if you keep it up, I'm locking this topic no buts. Everyone has the right to their opinion and to give their points you don't like them too bad don't respond like they are worthless. After all you also keep mentioning just one punch one punch, so you are no different than anyone else. Treating people like their opinions and points are crap will be stopped here, otherwise im locking this. Now keep on with respect, thank you |

Yeah, I saw that too. He keeps mentioning that one punch from Tyson could kill Lee. which is true, but neglects the fact that Lee is leagues ahead of Tyson in versatility, and can perform much more rounded fighting styles, rather than a punch to the head if he wanted to 'kill' his opponent. All it takes is a gogoplata from Lee and Tyson is dead. No ifs, buts or whats. |

Ahhhhhh I just enjoy this topic too much indeed. Truly the quickest way to get negative reps, and yet feel good about myself at the same time. Bruce Lee is a man. A man gets hit in the head with 1800 lbs of force, a man loses. 2 + 2 = __ A simple concept, in its simple ways. Careful, the next one may be a little bit more difficult for those having a hard time accepting a deadly scenario against their debate. Mike Tyson is an iron pumping gorilla boasting too much size and weight. Submissions won't happen. Bruce Lee isn't going to trip him, or jerk him around, too strong and heavy. Getting close to Mike Tyson is the easiest way to fall. He should stick to his weak, 130 lb kicks and try to stay away from getting hit by a car (basically). Submissions are nonexistant in this scenario, and that is why. Wait a second... even if he DID get them on Mike Tyson, I could see him having a terribly hard time with the strength disadvantage... good god... lol That's like, nothing. Ugh. Think whatever you want I guess. |

I dont see why you even made this topic then,. You have your mind made up no matter what people say or bring up you are going to answer like they are crap. Pretty stupid topic to make when its like that. A deep discussion is something you discuss and respect other's opinions not diss them or make it sound like everyone is dumb. Weather you agree with them or not is not the point. Next time don't even bother making a topic if this is what's to happen. |

I had known that many people already preferred Bruce Lee. Now, even in regard to the fact that this appeared to me as very unreasonable, I wanted to give my reasoning on why their predictions were wrong. If anybody feels insulted, I'm sorry about that. However, I'm not going to let up on my debate and the way I feel about it. I feel like I am right, and so I strongly support that feeling and belief. I can't understand why you've continued to say I'm talking to people like trash, when all I'm doing from this point on (even after apology) is keeping true to the original opinion I have that has remained unchanged. Now, had somebody here proven me wrong, I would have converted my opinion. That is yet to happen. Many others have responded, and I gave my input back. I have stayed consistent on my beliefs of the size differences, strength differences, and stamina differences. Does, "one punch," "outweighs him," or "world class boxer's chin" sound familiar to any of you? These are the reasons, and they haven't been (and probably won't be) proven wrong, as they are facts (heavy facts in Tyson's defense for the record). Edited by Dark, Jul 23 2009, 02:20 AM.

Just to clear things up, i never said you had to change your opinion on who would win, nor you had to change your reasoning, all Im asking is to at least show more respect to all other users regardless how weak you think their reasoning is. |

Yeah. Funny thing, though. Out of all the debates I've had on here recently, this is the only one I feel this correct on for some reason. I think it's because I believe I have a certain level of experience on the matter that some people may or may not have. Until somebody gives me a good reason as to why the things I've mentioned aren't going to be the total explanation for the inevitable outcome these things would result in, I really have nothing else to say. The mentioning of submissions just isn't cutting it. I'm not convinced in the slightest. |

Holy crap. That was a lot to read, first of all. I'm not sure how to start this off, so, I'll begin by addressing individual debaters. @Brian: You made a few rude comments yourself, and ones that were borderline insults that could erupt into flames. Please keep the attitude in check. Insulting people by asking if they're 13, and calling them bigots will not win you an argument. We have several 13 year olds on here, and that is somewhat of a bigot comment itself, as a 13 year old would find it as a personal insult to them self even though they didn't post here. Otherwise, you really didn't post anything too harmful. I would like to see more than just "one punch" and "weight", but, I am completely unbiased in this match up/debate [which is why I felt the need to read through it all] and really don't care what your argument is. It's just not that great of debating skills and does get a bit repetitive after awhile. @Mc Esse: Your argument style was quite immature and to be honest, you said a lot of annoying things. I do not recall any specific insults or direct attacks, but, you certainly provoked them from Brian. The "lololololololol" is a pointless comment and really unnecessary. You also ignored many points of debate [not saying Brian is right, as I am unbiased] and began to provoke more insults, whether you realized it or not. Lololololol is NOT a good response, to ANYTHING outside of the spam section. Do not do that again. It's not a form of debate and that's what this is, you also said a few other pointless things in response to some of Brian's points. @Haze: Do not call anyone a "moron". It's unnecessary, dude. That was one of the few direct insults and I'd like to tell you that it was truly unnecessary. @-Zero-: Why close the topic? From an unbiased standpoint, it seems only as if you'd like to close the topic because Brian is constantly repeating himself about the issue and you believe he's not listening to your side. Brian has done a few unnecessary things, but, all things considered, the topic does not need to be closed. To be honest, it seems like you'd like to close the topic because you're frustrated with Brian's opinion. I firmly believe that. A few others posted here but they weren't frequent and they were rather respectful. I really expect this topic to be in order. None of you did anything to merit a warn, only minor stuff, but, if I see anybody making "lololololol" in a response to posts, or anyone calling each other "kid" or "moron" I will warn you, just because I've addressed it here and it is highly unnecessary. Continue on.

Zero that is not true, I could care less if Brian thinks Bruce or Mike would win, there has been others saying Tyson and I have not told them anything, please don't make assumptions. Ussualy when topics get out of hand they get closed, and if Brian is to keep treating other members like crap what do you think is going to happen? It's going to get out of hand. If I wanted to close this because of his believes in Tyson winning I would have done it already I;m not like that so please don't offend me with that comment Necifix. Especially since my last many posts had nothing to do with my opinion towards who would win but more towards asking Brian to calm down with his comments. Yes Neci I was offended with your comment cause you didnt even bother pming me or anything asking why I threatened to close this topic. I'm not a fan of people making assumptions about what I say. |

I apologize then. However, it is unnecessary to close this topic. It just seemed to me that way. I also do not think I need to PM you for a guess on why you would want to close this topic. From my standpoint, that is what it seemed. So, I am sorry if that is inaccurate. However, he is not treating anyone "like crap." I have already addressed my standpoint. |

Why make it any more technical than it should be? The consistent reasons I've given haven't been (and probably cannot be) countered. How in the world could somebody disagree? I mean really. I've shown why this is a hilarious comparison time and time again, and the best reasons have been repeated. This is basically all I've heard so far: "*input irrelevant thing that Bruce Lee can do*" "Size doesn't matter." "Submissions will prevail." "Tyson's a one sided fighter" None, and I mean absolutely none of those statements even combined make a difference whatsoever in my opinion. "Size doesn't matter." - That's scientifically false. "*input irrelevant thing that Bruce Lee can do*" - Movies are a great source of entertainment. "Submissions will prevail." - Tyson is too big and strong. He's hard to grab a hold of due to the size difference, and he's almost impossible to push around even by attempting means of getting him off balance. "Tyson's a one sided fighter" - He's a giant bastard that will knock your head off with a proven 1800 lbs of force per punch. That's just about all he needs if he's a genetic freak. Too fast, too strong, and too durable. Bruce Lee's 130 lb weak, fast, flashy kicks with even the greatest of technique are not enough. Never. Submissions and wrestling techniques on a guy that outweighs you by almost a hundred lbs? Never. Ugly, ugly match up. |
