I don't think he had much of a say over the storylines.

Gotenks can go SSJ3, so I'm sure Vegetto had almost no boundaries if any. Oh and plus, the Kai's said that their personality compatibility actually fortified power. Who knows how strong Vegetto truly is. As a matter of fact, I'm actually going to stand here and tell you that Vegetto could take down anyone from GT. The mysteries of his power would probably be potent enough, considering the fact that he was only SSJ -1- when he destroyed a fighter that can't possibly be much weaker than Baby. You're wrong dude... Baby Vegeta was stated by Goku to be more powerful than anyone he's ever seen, that was before he even transformed. Baby Vegeta > Buuhan SSJ4 Goku was stronger than SSJ Vegetto probably by a large margin. Considering Goku in base was stronger than he was as a SSJ3 you can imagine what sort of power he'd gain from 4 transformations. Then throw in the fact he's signficantly stronger in the Shadow Dragon arc when compared to his first transformation and the gap increases. I don't think even a SSJ3 Vegetto would be more powerful than SSJ4 Goku, let alone Omega Shenron who can pulverize two SSJ4's at once. Then there's SSJ4 GOGETA who is two SSJ4's times a multiplier able to allow a pair of SSJ Kids to fight with the likes of Fat Buu. Vegetto is nothing in GT. That is why I hate GT, its non canon and doesn't even deserve to be debated. It never happened.

Well obviously a hypothetical SSJ4 Vegetto would be stronger but he doesn't exist. Vegetto (from DBZ) as we saw him would lose to most people in GT. If SSJ4 Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta fused with potara then yes Vegetto would be the strongest... Vegeta in base is probably just as strong as Goku's in GT, they're SSJ4's were even as no adjustment needed to be made before fusing. And in the canon of DBZ there's no way any Saiyan in base could be SSJ3 tier.

I think the purpose of this topic, was simply to post who we feel was the strongest character and why, not to tell other's why their wrong.... that being said, I still think that the Grand Supreme Kai was the strongest unfused character in the DBZ anime, but if your including DBGT, than I'd say it's SSJ4 Gogetta, though I think they only surpassed him in power thanks to the formula they drank. They drank it all at once, when they were only supposed to drink a small amount. it was supposed to increase the fusions duration, but it instead decreased it's duration, while seemingly increasing the fusions power in exchange for time, making them even more powerful than regular SSJ4 Gogetta should have been. without the formula, I think they may have been evenly matched, but Omega Shenron had abilities from the Dragon Balls, so I believe Omega would have been the strongest, had SSJ4 Gogeta not drank the formula, but thats just a theory. The starter of this topic said no movies so you can't use Hirudegarn 2. We are not twits 3. When something is so bad as GT people tend to pretend it didn't happen. Plus it was never originally a Manga so hardcore fans don't consider it canon. So yeah it was so repulsive it doesn't exist.
