I want to raise kid to be a better stronger more capable person than me, teach and give them things that i never had growing up. I feel that cause of my own childhood and basically the way life is in general it wont be possible though. Plus i grew up being a kind of dad from a young age looking after my little brother and later my wee sister. It sucked and being a kid it left me frustrated (didnt know any better, no one to take example from) and so i missed out on life. I got badly stressed dealing with things which i shouldnt have had to deal with (bad parents). This has badly affected my attitude towards kids and i dont trust myself with my temper. In saying that ive grown up a lot since then but i dont know if i could handle the stress of kids. The risk of those bad memories/feelings would come flooding back and that hopeless/ helpless feeling would come crushing in on me. It would be a risk. If i did i suppose i would wait till im in my late twenties/ early thirties. Id want to be the best dad for them and always be there no matter how small or big the problem is.

My bro. has a 5 month year old, and he is a pretty awesome baby if I've ever seen one, so I think as long as I can support them, I'll have as many as my future wife and circumstances allow/want.

But i think i probably will want kids when i'm done with college and have found the right person and married. I wanna be married for a couple or few years before having kids though. Kinda want to settle into life ya know? But i'll also consider my partner's wants too. We might be at different points in our lives when we want to have kids.

This might sound like a cheesy moment, but just today, for some reason, I was picturing myself with the person I love and our first baby girl between us in the pool, you could just see our heads sticking out of the water smiling at the camera, and this actually got me thinking, if I could ever have the person I love, and babies, I'm starting to really not care about what I'll do in life, as long as I'm with them. Yes, I'm a suck up to the whole baby thing, but I also think that having a baby can be so amazing and actually bring you closer to the person you love, kinda making it romantic. God I'm rambling on like I always do, I just think that having a baby would bring you closer to the person you love, plus, having a baby can bring you so much joy because...who doesn't like them? Just raise them as polite kids, you don't want screaming bullets, and then they'll be fine, heck that's what my parents did with me, I can't take brats, but I love babies and kids. Firefox/Safari Favourite Manga Magical X Miracle	Some might think that talking about the future, and whether or not to have kids, so early into a relationship could be daunting or even nieve (sp?) but I think for me and Tom it's really given us something to work towards. We decided that if we were still together by the time we've both completed university and got more stable jobs we'd like 2 or possibly 3. The first born boy's second name would be named after Tom's recently late uncle, and we sometimes jokingly talk about other names but we figure we've got a while to figure them out yet. I'm determined to not have an only-child, through my own experience; because while you do learn to keep yourself preoccupied and never have to share your things I always found it quite lonely - but then part of that might be that a lot of the time I had to stay at relatives houses while mum was working and so knew what it was to have siblings in the form of similar aged cousins. Anywho, to cut a long story short I've always been told how good I am with kids through past experience so it's something I'm more than willing to go for in around 10 years - the only thing that's off-putting to me is the labour itself
