If you want a player to perform cartwheels for you and act, consult his agent, because he could get a damn oscar for his performances. Hey heyyy don't be dissing Puyol. He is a well respected player in the league. He isn't a faker. I've seen him play many games, and he plays clean. He is a hard playing defender so I don't know what you're talking about.

You obviously didn't see him last night then. He was milking every tackle for all it was worth despite the fact that he's a good enough player without doing that. He was rolling onto the floor in nearly every shot he was in.

Firefox	I never blamed anything on Puyol except the fact that he milked it each time he was tackled :S That does not in anyway indicate that I'm saying that Manchester United lost because of Puyol. I already said that Manchester United lost due to tactical errors and all that, but it doesn't look good on players if they happen to fall on the floor for simple tackles. Barcelona's goalkeeper challenged Park and he almost did a forward flip in the air. He wasn't pushing for a penalty or anything because he knew it was a fair challenge. Puyol would try and grab anything he could with the simplest tackle because every time you saw him he was on the floor looking to the referee. It doesn't make him a cheater, but it doesn't do him credit. There's no point into getting into a petty argument over it either, because usually what happens is that everybody hates on the Manchester United fan and claims that Ronaldo is a cheater and a *** player and whatnot, when in actual fact I couldn't give a *** about Ronaldo. I support Manchester United for the team, not for the players or the trophies and have done all my life and it's saddening to see them lose the final, but that doesn't change the fact that players on the Barcelona team such as Messi and Puyol tried to claim for challenges that were nowhere near major ones. It doesn't mean that they are bad players, they just wanted to win, but they were just pushing it. Just like the Manchester United team were right at the end. You could tell that they were getting desperate when they put Paul Scholes on at the end. He fouled someone within minutes of entering the pitch and that just kept continuing, which wasn't particularly a good reflection either. Nobody is perfect. The Barcelona team and Manchester United teams aren't, so next season, the Manchester United team just has to try to out-perform their opponents, just like Barcelona will be doing. They all just get better and better, but that still doesn't mean that minor squabbles won't break out because everybody wants to win. Puyol wants to win, Ronaldo wants to win, Messi wants to win, Scholes wants to win, and when they're in the final they want to make sure that happens, so things are bound to be different to normal because there's even more pressure on the players to perform.

Puyol is one of those defenders that goes in hard. It's difficult to imagine that he would go to the extremes of diving because I've watched him play throughout my life, and he does not do that. Most Spanish players don't dive. In fact, Spain is considered one of the cleanest teams in the world. I don't care about Ronaldo though. If I wanted to say something bad about Manchester United, I would have already said it. I'm not a big fan of Barcelona, but I'm glad a Spanish premiere team won. I'm not hating on your post except the fact that you had to mention Puyol. He is a clean player that has had to deal with many divers throughout his career. Don't make me show the video of Henry grabbing his face in the World Cup because that is proof that he is clean.

Internet Explorer Favourite Manga DBZ	I will say that nearing the end of the game, Puyol had a chance and Van Der Sar managed to gather the ball. Puyol went down and rolled around a bit, obviously looking for time to be played and maybe a penalty. Man U then went on the counter and Puyol got up, sprinted from one end of the pitch to the other and when Man U's attack failed he collapsed and rolled around again. But I do rate Puyol, he doesn't normally do that from what I've seen of him. Barcelona generally didn't go down easy in that match. They always looked to keep the ball going and then fall down, which I respected a lot. Edited by Mitas, May 29 2009, 03:02 PM.
