 Yea, dragon ball was offically supose to end when frieza saga did. but they kept it going cause of fan base. I didn't really like gt, but i thought the ending of it was awsome. they did a great job on that.

 i never saw the last episode on tv but i did on youtube and it said that goku did die untill vegeta did too and then they went off somewhere i think to train and then goku jr. was on theepisode untill goku met him then goku was never in the episode again

 Goku and Vegeta didn't die in the last episode.

Goku just left with Shenron to train and come back when the Earth needed him again. [Remember in Z, Old Kai gave Goku what was left of his lifeforce which was about 1000 years] Vegeta was obviously dead in the flash forward with Goku Jr and Vegeta Jr though.

 Well, after Goku lefted with Shenron, I believe Goku trained with him.

 I think Goku sort of became a part of Shenron, but thats my personal thought, what I think would be good is if they did a special based apon fan made stuff like dragon ball multiverse.
