I've just started reading Full Metal Alchemist, I've read the first 4 volumes and have a couple in the post. It's the first manga I've read aside from DBZ and I'm really enjoying it. It has a great storyline and although the comedy bits in it can be a little lame at times, some of them are funny and it manages to get serious when it needs to be, and does it well.

Although that can be good sometimes too, since the anime is easier to follow

Firefox Favourite Manga Slam Dunk	The new FMA series entitled: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is not a filler series but a retelling of the whole series based off the manga. I haven't got a chance to see a single episode but I have read many positive comments about the show.

Minorly, but enough to keep me obsessed <3 Still, I do find that the first series was more likable :/ to quote someone from another forum, the first series had a depth to it that Brotherhood, sadly, cannot match. Yes brotherhood has the same characters, same interactions for the most part, and same stuff, however it just seems to be lacking the seriousness in the first series. TL;DR version: Brotherhood lacks heart. For realz.

There is something about this anime that has got my interest. I can't put my finger on it though because there are a lot of things too like about FMA. By the way, my favorite characters are Riza Hawkeye and Roy Mustang.

Firefox	I've just started watching it too. I'm on around about episode 32 now and my favourite characters so far are Maes Hughes, Winry Rockbell, Alphonse Elric and Major Armstrong. I quite like Ed Elric too. It's a great series and after I've finished I hope to watch Brotherhood too, just to keep up with Invisobill if not for anything else :P But really, its a fantastic series and I enjoy watching it.
