Google Chrome Favourite Manga Dragonball	This is a massive announcement by Toei Animation, the entire show will go through its fouth wave on television, this means the show will be updated in quality, and new material done by Akira will be shown...it will air in japan on the 5th April which is Akiras birthdday, this is all in celebration of Dragonball Z-(Z) 20th birthaday. It will include: DragonBall Z(renewed version) will be re-aired starting on april 5th (Toriyama's birthday) in Japan. It will be re-made using new techniques. It will be widescreen (16:9).. This doesn't mean they'll cut it, but they're gonna extend it by drawing extra! The complete Japanese cast of Seiyuu's will come back together for this (except the Seiyuu's that have passed away such as Hirotaka Suzuoki (Tenshinhan)). New sound-effects The OP and ED will be re-made 291 episodes will be made into 100 (no fillers..?)

Posts: 91 Group: Member Member #3,942 Joined: January 24, 2009	I gotta say that while it does sound interesting, cutting it down to 100 from 291 sounds like they are doing a complete restructuring. Its pretty nice to have it as widescreen, but, I would much rather they continue the series after dbz than remake the whole dbz chapter. I mean 100 episodes is good if you don't have the time, but, I would rather watch the 276(dub) or 291 to get the complete story even if it includes some fillers. Also, how do they plan to reduce the show from 291 to 100 even if they cut out the fillers?

You do realise that if they're "Remaking" it, that it gives them a huge chance of cutting out everything from inside actual episodes that wastes time. Such as watching some stills of Piccolo going and loads of standing around. That'll give them the choice to pack more things into each episode, generally cutting down the number of episodes. Not saying that will make it better of course, its just a theory as to why they might have less episodes.

I am really surprised about this it seems they are basically getting it all from the manga and not a whole bunch of fillers.

Most television shows these days seem to last for 45 minutes, so perhaps they have decided to do that as well.

Internet Explorer Favourite Manga DBZ	I wonder if they'll be cutting out all filler completely e.g the Garlic Jr. Saga and the Otherworld episodes where Goku fought Pikkon? I think it'll be good. I mean there are always the original full 276/291 episodes for those who want the full series with filler etc. I guess it's something different to watch. As for making the episodes longer that's a possibility cause like you said there are a lot of programmes out there that are around 40 minutes now (although they tend to be the big dramas like Heroes, Lost etc).
