What SSJ form was Vegeta in during Kid Buu fight

When you go SSJ1, the hair spikes up, get the golden glow and blue eyes. When you go SSJ2, hair is more spikier, and there is usually electricity around the fighter. That's how I could usually distinguish the difference between SSJ1, and SSJ2 is the electricity. So when Vegeta fought Kidd Buu on the Planet of the Kai's, what SSJ form was Vegeta fighting in? I didn't see any of the electricity. Maybe DBZ just forgot to put that in?

I'm sure he was in ssj2 beacuse kid buu would trash him in ssj. Sometimes they don't show the electircity during ssj2. Most of the time we only see it when they are standing still or when they want to stress the fact that they are in ssj2 form. Vegeta wouldn't have lasted as long as he did in ssj.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. I just wish DBZ would be more consistent with details like that.

What I don't get though, is when Vegeta first started fighting Buu, he was in his normal state. What was up with that? Was he trying to lose? I know he was just buying time for Goku but he should have started in SSJ2 to begin with.

Well uhm first off I think you meant they have green eyes.

I think he went all the way to SSJ2. I think the electricity just goes on when they have time to charge and what not. Proff is mainly that in the battle Vegeta VS Kid Buu, Vegetas hair was more spiked up, he took a few seconds to go SSJ2. The few seconds is significant b/c in the 2nd vid(amv) he goes ssj1 in an instant. So I think he was SSJ2 the whole time he ought Buu but obviously you can see he lost alot of energy b/c of thet. He went back to his normal/standard form alot during the fight.

They aren't a solid green nor a solid blue. Looks like turquose to me .

Yeah I guess Vegeta was in SSJ2. Thanks for the youtube vids but I got all the episodes on my laptop in high quality. Thanks anyways.

It wasn't a very smart idea on his part if you ask me, usually he's better about making decisions during a fight than that. I would have expected him to be at full power to begin with. If Goku couldn't do it as ss3 then of course he can't in normal state. But looking back at the episode Vegeta did have electricity around him while he was blasting kid buu.

I think he was in Super saiyan, there were no lightning bolts, even some of you were saying they only put them in when they were charging up or standing still, why wernt they there when he was charging up or standing still?
His hair is the same all the way through, If he was Super Saiyan 2 there would have been lightning bolts at other places in the clip.

If I Don't Who Will?

If you look at Goku vs Majin Vegeta battle you can tell that they both only have electricity when they power up. The electricity doesn't always have to be there, just when your gathering energy just as Rebel X said.

Now that I think about it, Vegeta had to have been in his SSJ2 form. There is no way Vegeta at SSJ1 could have even contended with Buu. Vegeta did get clobbered but he still managed to take a lot of hits and still have some hits to Buu. Vegeta also shot some energy blasts at Buu that blew half of Buu away.

Vegeta could've fought Buu in his Super Saiyan form easily, He wouldnt win, which he didnt, but he could get a few hits in, which he did. Also Buu wasnt fighting proberbly, he was just mucking around, which maybe why he couldve got some hits in.

Doubt it. Goku at SSJ3 was giving it his all and barley keeping up with Buu the whole time. You think Vegeta only at SSJ1 could get even a hit on Buu with that kind of power? Why would Vegeta go SSJ1 anyways? That would make no sense. Had to of been at SSJ2.

vegeta was ssj2 when fighting with kidbuu.because he could not hold anything back when fighting kidbuu because he was the strongest villian. if vegeta fought only as ssj1 against kidbuu. vegeta could have been destroyed completely.considering the fact that kidbuu even almost out fought ssj3 goku.

Vegeta= SSJ2

Reasoning behind the whole hair thing, everyones got different hair, vegeta's hair is pracitcally the same normal as it is super saiyan.

He wasn't SSJ, but was rather Majin which is the same as SSJ2 but slightly stronger as far as I know.

It seems like it is SSJ2 because of the lightening Aura and hair but I don't think it is.
