SSJ's power level was never actually stated in the series, but it's obviously more than a 20X increase, since Goku couldn't match Frieza (who was at 50% I think) and then when he went SSJ he was in the driver's seat and was actually holding back. The Daizenshuu 7 guide with power levels officially supervised by Akira Toriyama gives us filled in power levels that we didn't see from the Frieza saga (but it ends where they end in the series). Goku's SSJ power level is 50 times that of his base form, which fits pretty fairly with the anime and manga. Some people have got the idea that every SSJ transformation is a 50 times increase, but it doesn't have to be linear. I mean, there's no way to actually know, but there are ways to get a good idea. What do you think? SSJ 2 and 3 might only be ten and five times increases for example. SSJ3 is right on the edge of Goku's limit, we know that, at least cannon wise (No GT). If I remember correctly, when Vegeta trains in the Room of Time and Spirit, Goku says he must have increased his power by threefold. He achieved USSJ, so is this an indication that USSJ is 3 times the power of SSJ? Trunks might be a step further than that, at maybe twice the power of that, but there's no evidence to say on that one manga wise, as he doesn't hit Cell at all. In the anime, he is actually able to hit Cell and smack him around, whereas Vegeta's full power kick doesn't move Cell at all. I would rather go on manga though, cause lots of filler is contradictory. It's been a lot of time since I watched the series or read the manga though. Full Power SSJ is more powerful than USSJ, which is more powerful than SSJ, but without the focused energy, it's not just wasteful, but weaker than a truly mastered Super Saiyan state which can use more power. Cell was holding back against Goku, and for most part it was a sparring match, but Goku was actually able to fight Cell and move him about. So, already I feel I can say definitely that FPSSJ is more than 3 times the power of SSJ because USSJ is. FPSSJ at a guess, might be twice the power of USSJ but without the drawbacks. There's not enough data for USSJ 2, but it may be more powerful than FPSSJ, but with even more drawbacks than USSJ as we saw. So, FPSSJ is at least 3 and at a guess could be 6 times SSJ. SSJ2 is hard to gauge, but considering how effortlessly Gohan owned Cell and his spawn, I'd say at least ten times that of FPSSJ, which is more than 3 and probably more than 6 times SSJ. So, roughly between 30 and 60 times SSJ, and that's over two and a half thousand times base form! I did hear that somewhere in the series says that it's like "a Super Saiyan going Super Saiyan!" I can't think of anything at all that tells us how powerful SSJ3 is. Did Akira ever answer this question in an interview or at least give an indication? "How powerful is each Super Saiyajin stage?" |

I like some of your points raised, being a DB knowledge geek, i actually can't answer this to be honest. Super Saiyans ascend to a whole new level, new stage. By how many folds or how many times after the first we aren't really sure. Unless Akira himself answered it all we would have to read it all again from some points onward and had to payed very close attention to the manga. |

It just depends on how much you train. |

Yes and no there Kai.... YES the more you train the stronger you get BUT you haven't thought about a characters NATURAL ability i mean think about it when it comes to training NOBODY pushes themselves as hard as vegeta because he's such a stubborn bugger. whereas goku trains a lot but ot as much as vegeta - its his natural skill that comes into play here same with gohan acheiving SSJ2 before anybody else - he trained the same as his dad and yet he acheived it first even though vegeta and trunks had trained and trained (all be it training the wrong way towards bulk rarther than speed) NATURAL ABILITY will always out do any ammount of training it seems |
