He also could turn into a super saiyan so im sure he couldve become SSJ2 and on.

The whole pumped up muscle thing, only difference being his speed wasn't effected, which could show that all his energy didn't actually go into his strength. Goku will be the Saiyan of legend though in my opinion. Due to SSJ4, which is the limit of a Saiyan's power. Vegeta mentions in the Perfect Cell Saga that the Super Saiyan's of legend were alot stronger than himself, Goku and Trunks at SSJ level, so they probably were SSJ4 (note that their tales wouldn't have been cut off to stop them transforming, so the potential would always be there)

Google Chrome and Firefox	As mentioned before, I believe Broly is the Legendary Ssj because he is given the title by Vegeta. Goku is a legend, but there is no doubt that Broly would have exceeded him if he were to train. Broly's life was short and his defeats were flukes.

It's when he's talking about ascending, he basis the thought of ascension on the fact that the Super Saiyans of legend would've been alot stronger and not have been beaten by #18. Something along those lines anyways. I've been watching the Trunks - Cell Games Saga's again recently, I'm at the episode were the Cell Jrs attack.

There was more than one SSJ in the past (Vegeta says SaiyanS not Saiyan) So why can't there be more than one in any current time line? The power of SSJ was Legendary, and ofcourse, Goku gets stronger than that. Added to the Broly movie being in a weird place in the time line. If it was before Gohan was and Goku went into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Goku would've been bed ridden with the heart virus and Gohan wouldn't have been a SSJ, if it was after then the only place I can put it is in the 10 days Cell gives before the Cell Games, in which time Trunks, Piccolo and Vegeta are all training in the Time Chamber. Cell and the Androids would've still been around, so I doubt they'd be out shopping or at a picnic, going to an interview for a school and then travel to another planet to take out Broly and leave the people of their own planet dieing. Point being with the above paragraph, you can easily disregard the Broly movie, just like any other really. I love the movie, but it does just seem a case of putting spikey yellow haired guys against other without making Goku fight Vegeta. So with Broly, what makes him any more "Legendary" than Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Goten or Trunks? If the power he has is what makes him "THE" Legendaery SSJ, he gets surpassed any way. If it's the form he takes, then that's abit silly, because there are many forms to the SSJ state. Edited by DLFlux, Dec 30 2008, 02:09 PM.

You see Broly, because the Legendary Super Saiyan WHICH was given to him as an Alias, because of his sate, when he was little he was filled with rage, and just bursted into this overraged super saiyan, not that different.
