One of them is that its simply just random images from things you have seen in movies, real life, etc... mixed together to form that dream. Another believe is that its foreshadowing the future(least likely to be true). I'd go more with just random images and why nightmares come and go who knows, my dreams are usually fantasy but a month ago somehow changed to nightmares for like a week but then went away. Just life, it happens.

I worked 8:00-5:00. I went to dinner at the student center with a friend. I came home. And now I'm ignoring the fact I need to study.

As of 9:00-10:00 it was hailing of and on. Now it is 36 F and dropping. The saying in Texas goes: "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes". This is no freaking joke.
