Something you can't seem to grasp is that people have diffrent opinions, your point is only correct in your personal view. Your opinion isn't fact. Abortion is somthing where people share diffrent views, no view is the correct view no matter which way you word it.

Unless you plan on proving without a shadow of a doubt that abortion is something that should not be acceptable which you can't because a lot of people won't accept your views. You are saying it's okay to rob a 14 year old of her childhood because she was raped.

And yes, a fetus is only potential life, it isn't life because there is still a chance of a miscarage so it remains potential life until it is born. There are a number of enviromental effects which might kill it before it's born.

Oh also here's a link to help you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion

And on the note of spellcheck, is my spelling that important? Can't you understand what I am saying if it's spelt wrong? I'm sorry for not being able to spell well but I'm trying, I'm not going to use a spell check just for the benifit of you though ; )

Killing innocent human life is universally wrong. It is not a matter of opinion. That's like murdering someone, then showing up and telling the judge that in your opinion it was alright to kill him. You can say that all you want, but that judge is going to put you in jail. It doesn't matter if you believe otherwise; you're still wrong. You can believe that the sky is red if you want. That doesn't make it so.

But the FACT of the matter is that an abortion robs an innocent human being of its life. There is no arguing against it. The fact that is growing, organic material with human DNA makes it a human life by definition. The fact that it has done no harm makes it innocent. And the fact that you have to end its life to end a pregnancy means you're killing it. Abortion is the process of killing an innocent human life. Murder.

You're saying it's okay to kill a child for the sake of convenience. Again, if you accept that basic abortion is wrong, then you're validating the worth of the life of that fetus. And that worth cannot be removed by the actions of its father. Killing the child doesn't change the fact that the girl was raped. Nine months of pregnancy, then an adoption. That's the extent of it, if the mother so chooses. Weigh that versus having a hole drilled in your skull, having your brain sucked out with a vacuum, then being dropped in a bucket.

And no, just because it may die doesn't mean that it isn't yet a life. People with cancer may die, but they're still alive. On a basic, scientific level, a fetus is alive from the moment of conception. And this is a scientific debate; there's no subjectivity involved.

Just a really simple question here because you're a little obsesed with calling anything that is human DNA living and human.

If I grow some skin cells, they are growing and they contain human DNA, then I burn it thus destroying it, does that count as killing a human? I mean it's life because the cells are living and it has human DNA so it must be human.

Until a fetus can survive on it's own without relying on it's mother or equipment, it is nothing more than a collection of tissue. At that point, an aborition would at most be destroying potential life.

I'm not going to yield on this point because I am correct. I don't care one bit how much anyone else wants me to be wrong, or back off. I have a rebuttal for anything that warrants a rebuttal. This is a "deep discussion" forum, and it seems to me that I'm being strongly discouraged from actual deep thought. And it doesn't seem to me that the rest of you are actually thinking "deeply" about this matter.
Wow, just wow. Not only do you break the forum rules by double posting every time somebody answers you, you're an ***** to them too.

You ARE correct? You THINK you're correct. Not one person has agreed with you. If a 14 year old girl is raped, you say it's unfair and wrong to abort the fetus because it's killing innocent life. What if the doctors know that she and the baby would die during child-birth? Is it still wrong? I already know you'll say it is.

If by some miracle, she and the baby survived, how do you think she would feel, looking at the baby, and knowing that he/she was a result of something that mentally and physically harmed her to the point of a mental breakdown? We've all seen TV programs like CrimeWatch, and every now and then a rape story comes out. Have you seen the anguish that these women go through? Doubtful.

I recommend you read the Manga "Bitter Virgin". It's about a 15 year old girl who is raped by her step-dad, and is impregnated, twice. Then you might see an insight to what they think and feel.

I feel he is at this point incapable of understanding others feelings. I never said anything about him toning down his openion, but merely invited him to stat his openion as an openion, but he responded by rebuteling my invitation. I said it was imature, but obviously he dosn't share my openion, or care. therefore, I feel his openions are now worthy to deem as biast, one sided, and un-open to change. though I agree with him on certain points, his arguements now have lost all power to persuade my views, simply because I now see that he is close-minded on the matter. I'm sure he is a great guy, he just dosn't seem to know that he is being overbearing, or perhaps he is so concerned with everyone agreeing with him, he dosn't have the ability to care what they think of him. I guess this is just a forum, so it's not like he'll ever see us or that our openions really matter, but It does make me want to discredit everything he says, even if it dosn't relate to this topic.

I'm sorry you all can't handle it when someone trashes all of your points in a debate and hurts your "feelings". My points were clear, cold, and logical. I made no personal attacks, and I made no insults.

Don't even worry about banning me, because I'll be going elsewhere. Somewhere that doesn't censor people for being more intelligent than your average twelve year old.

No one is censoring you, your posts have not been deleted have they? All that has been asked is that you take other peoples opinions into account, nothing more and nothing less.

The problem with your "Cold, hard, logic" is that it is horribly flawed, you are only taking into account the basics. The main thing that plays a role in this whole situation is the way a person feels. As much as you might not like it, people have what we call "emotions" and these play a part in making decisions.

You don't know what someone is thinking when they want an abortion, I mean if they really want the abortion, they are going to do it anyway, they will just get it done in some dogey place or try and do it themselfs, thus doing more harm to themselfs.

By the way, you can only debate if you are renewing your argument to fit what the other person has said. Sticking to the same point through a debate and not changing anything isn't a real debate, I could have that kind of debate with a wall.

Not that you care about real debating, all you care about is trying to look like you are clever when actually with a closed-minded view on things, you come across as knowing very little.

Just as you also seemed to fail to produce anything new in your most recent post, was this because other people brought up new things into the debate? Like what a debate should be?

Yeah, you run off to your little forum where debates are all linier and one sideded.

Granted you made me rethink my position on abortion. Which is why I have stopped posting. But it's kind of difficult to take anything you say greater than a grain of salt because of the way your acting after someone simply tells you to back off on being so strong in your debate method.

We ban 12 year old's due to forum regulations. But nice try insulting us. Some of us may be older than you. Seems childish on your behalf to try and belittle us just because we don't agree with your posting method.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Run to that place your accepted and tattle like we know you did. Sounds like something a 12 year old would do.

I am purely against abortion unless my son will be born retarded with an IQ of a lima bean. Other than that, even if a girl gets raped it's her responsibility not to walk in bad neighbourhoods or to take care of herself, and avoid rape. I believe the child should live unless it be's born with an IQ of a lima bean.

If my wife or girlfriend wants to have an abortion so be it; she'll never see another dime from me again.

Though it is not exactly written in the bible, I shall take the 9th commandment with a grain of salt.

I don't know if Famicommander is ever going to look at this forum again, I'm pretty much only looking at this every so often because it keeps coming back in the active forums list, but I just wanted to say, I didn't attack his oppenion, I didn't attack him, I didn't even say anything biast or mean, and am not trying to have him censor what he says, I simply said "state your opinion as opinion, not as a fact". I even told him how. oh well, it's so hard to properly communicate through mere text. I hope he isn't offended, I didn't want to do that, I just wanted to deem the Behavior it'self as imature, not him.

So you think rape is fine but low IQ OMG ABORT ABORT!!!

That's wrong on so many levels, so so many levels. The fact that rape doesn't always happen in bad areas. Also, you are implying that a woman can defend herself against someone who may have a weapon or is physically stonger or druged her.

You are implying that rape is the fault of the woman and she should be punished for it.

So according to what you have just said, we should punish all rape victims?

Don't worry about it. If he had an ounce of maturity he wouldn't let it phase him.

yeah, I can't possibly understand why he feels so strongly. he didn't share any personal experiences, so I'm not quite sure how he was able to keep going like that. It's probably just a pride thing, I dunno, whatever it is it aint healthy for communicating.
