If you want to be a part of the parliament when it starts, you will need to join a party or create one, it is encoraged that you do either because it will allow members to have more of a say with how the forum is run. See this topic for more information on joining. Parliment possitions will be: Internal Minister: Someone who has ideas or views on the annoucment sections, feedback and other memeber related section. Dragonball Minister: Represents the dragonball section. Discussion Minister: Represents the general area. Graphics Minister: Represents graphics. Clan Minster: Represents the clan section, which does need a lot of improvments. It will be upto the party leader who gets what, but you will be able to request which one you want. Also, when it comes to the elections, you can nominate someone from your own party, but you won't be able to nominate yourself. You won't get a special group but you will get to see a special section if you win in the election. The parliament process will be explained later. If you have any questions, please post them. |

Jake, I don't understand the concept of parties. Is there anyway, modification is possible. Can there be independent parties, like in real life situations? Can someone represent themselves, with out any co's, members? Like, for instance, run alone instead of running with someone. I like to carry the weight on my shoulders. I'm just like that. Can I run for Parliament, alone, if I think I can handle a posistion alone? CAN EXCEPTIONS BE MADE ?

Yes people can stand as independents to sections, you just create a party in the same way but state that you aren't allowing others to join and state which section you are running for of all the ministiral positions mentioned above. When it comes to forum Rep elections, you can stand as an independent too and should you get the position, you can make a coalition with other parties to form a main party. Of course, if you do decide to run, I will have to move you to 'Retired Staff' as oppose to 'Retired Admin' because you currently count as a Super Mod. It's your call. |

I would run, & I bet you I could take a few ballets too and maybe pull off a win. I would campaign. Like... "Vote for SS4 and he'll show you how to score", type of stupid phrases and promises, which won't even be kept. But now that I have found out, when I run, I go from Retired Admin to Staff, I decline. I have alot of pride on this forum, also in my retired status, so I can't accept running. I have Super Mod powers, which are a little dusty and which I doubt i'll ever be using anytime soon. I also have a title of a few, plus, I just started becoming active, I want to re-gain my name, before I make any decisions. But, seriously, I don't even understand much of it anyways, so maybe its better I just stay as I am, until in the near future, where there is space for change, i'll go for it. I've seen it all, Ive been on the Graphics Team, I've been a Moderator, Super Moderator, Co Admin, Admin, now I think I am like a old man of the forum, I just have the status of one, retired, so maybe this old man, some day will try to be some kind of active staff. But until I prove fit. I shall stay docile in my status of Retired Admin. Though I like the thought of Parliament, it brings Democracy to the forum, I just think, I'm more old school, believing in, Elites>GFX>MODS>GFX Leader>Super Mod>Head of Super Mods>Co Admin>Admin>Jake>YHG Yup. But like I said, I'm a retired Admin, if I ran, I dunno, I would just feel like I am down grading myself, I wouldn't be able to do the changes I would want to do. |

The reason you would have to change your status is because with Super Mod powers, you are still considered a part of the staff. The Representitive can only stand if they are at a position where they are just a member because it's more of an itermidary between staff and members to resolve more community based disputes. I mean if you want I can add a part to the party registration so you can stand for a position in the Parliament but can't run for Forum Rep if you want. This would mean if you won in say the Discussion area in the Parliamenty elections, you would be the Discussion Minister. Though in the Rep elections, if you win there but the Forum Rep party already has a Discussion Minister then you don't get that position, unless the Forum Rep wants to take you on as Deputy Discussion Minsiter but we haven't gotten that far yet so let's not complicate things. So, do you just want to stand in Parliamentry elections? You won't lose your group if this is the case. |

No no. I'll stay Retired Admin. I'll challenge later on in months to come, if I feel like any Minister/Cabinet holder is doing a bad job :P Is challengeing allowed!? |

You can challenge someones possition if you registered to be a minister. Like I said though, you can keep your Retired Admin status if you are happy with only running in Parliamentry elections, the rep elections will be in December so there would still be plenty of time to decide if you want to stand in those. |

If you win a Ministirial position, you keep your title regardless, it's only if you plan on running for Forum Representitive/Assistant Representitive where you would have to sacrifice your title. |
