Opera 9.6 Favourite Manga Fullmetal Alchemist	It's been in Event Planning for some time now. But I think it should probably just go here. Saves time and arguing. Basically. There are two teams and a panel of judges. For explanation purposes, Team A and Team B. Both teams have a captain, nominated at the start of the game, once all participators have asked to participate. The captain is basically in charge of the team. They are responsible for making sure that the team is all agreed on what they are doing and what they want to say. The captain should be a member/staff that is widely known around the forum and has good debating skills. Because the captain needs to keep control of the team. If there are arguments between the team members, it's up to the captain to sort it out before it escalates. Both teams compete against each other. Team A will defend a point, while Team B will try to make it so that Team A will be forced to see it their way. Team A wins if the panel think that they have defended their ideas sucessfully. And in contrast, Team B win if they think they have made undeniably proved their point. For instance. The debated subject could be the Occupation Of Iraq. Team A: We think that it was a conspiricy Team B: Can't you see that there ARE WMD's? Team A: But it was a blatant excuse for war! etc. The whole thing takes place over a week. Hence the title. Over this week, a basic guidline is as follows Participant Sign-up, Team sorting, and captain nominations - 1 day Debate - 5 days. Panel deciding which team has defended their point and announcing results - 1 day. This is a pretty rough way of doing things. But it's basic enough to show what is done. Obviously it requires members to be quite active. But hopefully the whole thing will be something that is enjoyed throughout the forum. And can be shared with others. There can be other, smaller games, among members. Although it would require the people who want to play, setting it up by themselves. And they would need a panel (3 - 5 people preferably). Clan battles can be used for this idea. The awards for this have not been quite comfirmed yet. But trophies are the most likely options. The Panel for forum-games 1 - Kotetsu 2 -Joker Snake 3 - Haze ---- I'd like about 10 people. Which would mean 5 on each team, and 2 captains. If you like the idea of this, post below.
