They're not very far away. Assuming nothing gets boycotted, are you interested in following them? I don't care much about the entire summer olympics. Canada's does't got any talent as close in the summer as their winter roster although I'd watch Italian Olympic soccer or basketball as well.

At the olympic level Italy hasn't achived success in a long while. There's not much focus if one of the best countries in the world hasn't won a gold medal since the games of 1936. 2004, Italy won bronze though.

Basketball, suprisingy Italy have a very good team. this is actually the only time I follow little basketball, I do. Believe it or not Italy defeated the US during the last Olympic in Athens and held a 12 point ( believe it was) lead over Argeninta in the Final, but ended up loosing the game.

Anyone else going to pay little, if any attention to these games?

Do you always have to mention Italy? Seriously, most topics you always try to get the word Italy in or Italian, it's very annoying, it's like you don't really care about anything but that.

Anyway, as for the Olympics, no, I'm not going to pay any attention to them, never did and I doubt I ever will.

Well I have to mention it because I want to explain why (in this case) why I anm following the sports I will follow. I don't want to make my post small and spammy.

Wellthe thing is, you didn't even mention where the next Olympics are going to be hosted, which as you mention boycotting would be something worth mentioning in your opening post. But you're just too intrested on peoples views on Italy rather than the Olympics.

That's my take on any post you make, you are more intrested in people either agreeing with you or someone posting that you want to argue with for no real reason. If you are intrested in the Olympics, let's here more about that insted of Italy, yeah?

I think its clear by now that we all know the Olympics will be held in Beijing, China. What more can I talk about the Olympics if I don't follow nothing but Soccer and Basketball suring the summer games. That was my take on the games to my furthest extent.

Other than that I'm expecting big things from USA, Yugoslavia, Spain and Lithuania's basktabll teams as well as Argentina's soccer team. Surprisgnly during the olympics it's not un-common for an African soccer team to make a succesive run. I belive Cameroon won in 2000.

There is running and everything in the summer isn't there as well as a few others, I don't know what games are usually run and which ones will be in this, a list would be nice.
