Worst Member of the Year Posts: 1,580 Group: Suspended Member #2,429 Joined: July 11, 2007	Okay well, I know there are quite a few football fans here.. (SOCCER for other people).. what players do you belive were the best of all time, offensivley and of course defensivley.. also what players did you enjoy watching.

Posts: 4,635 Group: Retired Staff Member #832 Joined: November 6, 2005	Micheal Owen, he was amazing to watch in his 1st/2nd year for England. Gianfranco Zola, Class. Dwight Yorke & Andy Cole were the best pair of strikers ever. Marcel Desailly, he was awesome. Alessandro Nesta has always been good.

Arguably Nesta is one of the best defensemen of this generation.. not suprisingly, he's Italian. Paolo Maldini, although is 1 of my, if not my favorite player of all time. I started watching this guy defending the crease in World Cup '94, then I got into watching AC Milan. Though his international career was rather dissapointing.. He's had many honors on the domestic and UEFA club level. Maybe he can't be compared to the likes of Zidane, Maradona or Ronaldo.. as he was always a defenseman, although when his career end he will be the bench mark of all defenseman.

No doubt he was better than Pele. He's the greatest footballer of all time. To bad he *****ed up his career with drugs.
