Okay, so I wanted to know exactly... how good is Burst Limit? And is it better than Tenkaichi 3? Are you happy or disappointed with the first game of the new gen? Share your thoughts here.

So far people have rated it in a 7/10 area. It's fairly neat, and I found it disappointing they couldn't make a version for the "dying" PS2, since nearly every DBZ game was made for PS2. It gave me a new felling in fighting since I have never played any of the Budokai series. The dubbing wasn't exactly sync with the voices so, yeah. |

Burst Limit is a great game. So is BT3. Burst Limit, apart from better graphics, has better gameplay imo. It feels more smooth, it feels faster paced, it has better effects and the sound is much better. I dont like BT3's muffled punches etc. In Burst Limit, you feel like you are playing the anime. The game uses the new "Drama peices" to add flavour to the battles, and the cutscenes in the story mode are very good, with fully detailed scenes that represent the TV show (Galick Gun vs Kamehameha, Cell vs Gohan Kamehameha etc). I haven't played online so i cant really comment on that. However, Burst Limit only goes upto the Cell saga. It has a severe lack of characters when compaired to BT3. This means you will probably get bored of it faster then BT3 where the match ups are almost endless. Also, no Ki is required for normal special blasts (Kamehameha, Dodon Ray etc). This means you can just spam the same special move over and over...from what i've heard this can be annoying online when you fight a spammer. Onto BT3 then, again a very good game and one I played constantly since it came out intill recently. The huge range of characters means that your enjoyment of the game is limited only by your own imagination, I often entertain myself by creating "what if" storys with characters that never met. The online is laggy most of the time I have to say, but I still enjoyed it very much. You can also collect the Dragonballs in BT3, something that is no longer possible in Burst Limit. BT3 also has it's flaws. Apart from characters, Burst Limit is (imo) superior in almost every way. Inless you prefer the "over the shoulder" view of the BT games. Since i've gotten Burst Limit, I have hardly played BT3. Though since I got Brawl i haven't played Burst Limit either. Older games make way for the new, i guess. The story mode of BT3 is severly lacking, featuring only a few (the most important) battles. Even BT2's story mode was superior. Which game is my favourite? I prefer Burst Limit's fast paced gameplay and graphical effects, but I also like BT3's "over the shoulder" camara view and huge character list. Both games are diffrent for me, I play whichever i feel like. Something that should be noted is that Burst Limit does not give the range of skill level that BT3 does. Burst Limit's fighting style is more button mashing then BT3's. If anyone was asking which game to purchase, I would say get Tenkaichi 3 if you dont already have it, but get Burst Limit anyway if you have BT3 already. BT3 will last longer for your money, but Burst Limit is an unmissable experience in the Dragonball world. |

... uh huh. Well it's like this: it's not GREAT but it's an ok game because it's basically Shin Budokai with extras. So it's good but not a 10/10 since it's basically recycled. Very short also. it's a 5.5/10 game. So if you're a huge DBZ fan buy it, if not then don't bother. I bought it just cause I'm a fan. no other reason. |

Burst Limit was disappointing, yea it went through my favorite saga which is Cell but it didn't even go to Majin.. It went Saiyan > Frieza > Cell > Bardock > Broly; which is kinda weird in my eyes. BT3 is way better to me. |

So ... if you care about characters, stages, and more characters, then Sparking!Meteor is for you. But if you care about gameplay, Burst Limit is what you want. |

I think the Burst Limit game is good if you want something with a little more gameplay options. The fighting system is superior to the one in the tenkaichi series, but I just think Tenkaichi 3 offers you more for your money. |

Both games are great games, the Budokai series offers a classic style of fighting whereas the Tenkaichi series offers an alternative. I think the problem was many people had gotten used to the Tenkaichi system and having so many characters and considered it a downgrade having to rever to 20 odd characters and the old Budokai fighting system. However I find Burst Limit more challenging as it requires alot of practice and combo moves to beat an equal opponent, I found Tenkaichi 3 has more of a button mashing feel to it. Both games really have their pros and cons, it's a shame the best features out of both can't be implemented into a 'Burst Tenkaichi' game. Oh well, maybe they will release a new Tenkaichi game for the PSP. |

Tenkaichi 3 has better gameplay, hell probably better graphics, and way more realistic controls. Burst Limit is a waste of space. |

I found Burst Limit a huge disappointment. You could only go up to The Cell Saga which annoyed me and you couldn't play as SSJ whatever like in Tenkaichi 3, you had to pick Goku and then transform into SSJ 2 or whatever. There are barely any characters and I did prefer the Tenkaichi roamness in battles, where you could fly all over the stage, which you can barely do in Burst Limit. |
